Everything you could imagine except for recording actual sounds can be done in reason. And yes reason has a piano roll and so much more. I highly recommend it.

Don't get me wrong, I like Excision, Datsik, Bar9 etc, but there's not really much thought put into their songs. They're just trying to get the fastest and heaviest track down they can. But if you listen to other artists like Jakwob, Skream, Benga and Artwork who aren't all about fast and heavy music, they put a lot more thought into the song such as this one.
