  • Still the most inspirational and amazing drummer in the game!!

  • i was fukkin there

  • I dunno kids,40 years + still Top Rockin, These Guys are very Good at any age.... Survival of The Fittest

  • They've lost it...even if Halford doesnt sound the same, he's still Halford. Joe is...well...Joe.

  • The older the singer gets, the more he looks like Martha Stewart. PS. when you get a chance, look up Loverboy 2012. Ouch.....

  • Joe Elliot would absolutley fucking destroy most modern rock vocalists back in his prime. He still sounds good enough to perform and that's all that matters. Give the guy some respect.

  • kinda wish the dakness headlined cus this show made me stop listning to them :(

  • my god..Joe's voice is DONE

  • @JudasPriestLeppard

you're jealous you can't sing like he can, he's a rock god

  • @JudasPriestLeppard I think he sounds good for 51...

  • Is it me or is Phil Collen a one trick pony.

  • @JudasPriestLeppard All singers are entitled to have their off days any other video you watch from the past couple years he sounds amazing..So it was def just an off day..

  • @JudasPriestLeppard He's not done. He just wasn't completely on game this night. is he the vocalist he use to be? no cuz he cant scream as well as he use to, and that will happen after 30 years of screaming. if they didnt have all these hits with screaming in them u wouldnt even notice haha. the mirrorball album showed he's still got it, just cant have the perfect voice every show like he could when he was in his 20's.

  • pendulum can suck my ass when we have the mighty leppard

  • it just does not make sense. I've seen these guys play this same song at Fiddler's green Denver back in 93 and it was not as good or as intense as this performance! I thought rock groups mellow out with age! go figure

  • I wish they'd release a live DVD...current I mean! EPIC live band!!

  • 06.05.93 the best

  • ROCKET YEAHH, so good to see these live. Roll on dl 2012

  • Thank you for sharing!awesome video!

  • wHO R pendulum N WHY SHD I CARE??

  • This Should Have Been On The Mirrorball Live Album

  • I was there squashed on the front row, love you guys, can't wait to see you in December with the Crew xx

  • Def Leppard: Great rock band from the time music used to be music.

Pendulum: One of the few good bands that have made it in 00-10's

  • im sorry how can anyone relate pedulam to def leppard ? lets see if in 40 years time if they are still goign strong selling out arenas across the globe liek def leppard ? hmm dont fucking think so so take ya pendulam and stick it up your arse LEPPARD FOR LIFE !

  • Rick Allen always has a smile on his face while playing. No matter what clip you watch. He's either up to something, or he's watching Modern Family behind his kit. That's why he has the head gear on. Full audio.

  • Joe needs to lay off the ho hos and ding dongs

  • People say Joe's voice isn't the best now, but I actually like it.

  • FUCKING GREAT DRUMS!

  • Can't wait til end of october, when I see them!

  • Wish I watched these, i was wasted after korn though

  • WTF, is this really Def Leppard or some shit cover band? I love this song, but they sound shit live.

  • @hunge Well you gotta remember they are in their 50's now. Check out the In the Round in Your Face DVD (Denver 1988 concert). They were AMAZING back then!

  • @MonsterTruckRally666 There are lot of singers (in their 50s and 60s) who sing the some way they did, back 20 or 30 years ago. Take a look at Jimmy Barns, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, John Farnham, Iva Davies (Icehouse), Bono, Mick Jagger, Steve Nicks (just to name a few), they all sound as good as they were, back when they first started.

Def Leppard were a good band back in the 80s, but they are not as good as they were back then. Its the same for Bon Jovi.

  • @hunge dude...jus this was a stupid thing to say..cause u cant compare the singin style of Jon and Joe with Jaggers or Bonos...J and J were screaming their asses off in the 80`s ..not many can do that when they are 50...i bet if Elvis was till alve if he was like 80yo hed still sound the same cause he was singing with a regular voice ..while Jon Joe Geoff Tate Sebastian Bach Don Dokken etc were screaming their asses off while they could..so its not really a good comparising on ur behalf.

  • @djuszi Its funny that you only pick out two singers, from the eight that I had mention. JIMMY BARNS was the first name on the list (if you have never heard of him, google and youtube him), and he has been 'screaming' out songs since the late 70s and still sound as good as he did NOW, than 30 or so years ago. If you can't sing as good as you did, back when you first started, you're not all that good to start off with.YES, Def Leppard were good, back in their time, but they never improved in age.

  • @hunge Actually Def Leppard sound amazing as a band and have improved, the songs all sound amazing, the only only fallback is that Joe can't scream like he use too, but come on give the dude a break. He's been screaming for 30 years and is 50 years old. He screamed in pretty much every song for 4 straight albums, their most famous ones, meaning he has been screaming pretty much every song, every night, of every tour since! Not everybody can be as lucky as Rob Halford or Jimmy Barnes!

  • @hunge

You have to remember the times friend. They've been doing this for over thirty years now. I agree that they don't sound as well live anymore. They lost Steve Clark in 1990; who undoubtedly played a crucial role in their hard rock sound from the 80's. Joe smoked cigarettes for the latter part of the 90's, which permanently affected his voice. Along with that, Def Leppard has an identity problem. They deviated from their original sound. But more than anything, they're getting old.

  • Wow the singer sounds like shit in this performance

  • i could have sworn the one kid on america's got talent used phils guitar last night

  • Great Song!

  • @ochayethenoo Yeah, I don't know why I said Donington Park...I must have been thinking about Formula 1 or something...It was at Don Valley in Sheffield...

  • i should of gone see def leppard instead of pendulume and i think i would of but on the thursday night my phone broke and i had to stay with my friend the whole weekend and my friend wanted to stay on the second stage to see bring me the horizon and at the time i really wanted to see alter bridge and then the darkness so if my phone didnt broke i would of seen def leppard

  • First time seeing Def Leppard at Donnington...I was awestruck and ashamed that only me and one other person that I could see were singing along

  • I was there :) :) :)

  • Totally love this band - my NUMBER ONE!

  • damn man joe sounds awesome

  • The solo in this song is pretty legit, but I do believe that it is the same one that they did at Donington Park in 1993(?) on the 7 Day Weekend Tour...at least it is similar...Sill love it though!

  • @davidcollen211 Do you mean the Don Valley Stadium gig at sheffield?

  • love the soloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • I'm so so so excited I get to see them front row at the Gibson Amphitheater on September 7th! Its going to be the best day of my life! haha Ill probably be on of the youngest people at the concert just like all the other 80s concerts Ive been to, 80's was the best decade ever<3 I'm 17 now and I wish i was 17 in 1985<3

  • SAD

  • Wish this was the version of Rocket on "MirrorBall"! Waited 20 years...

  • @nhis410 AMEN TO THAT!!!

  • WITH OUT A DOUBT THESE GUYS ARE STILL SOME OF THE BEST OUT THERE ... ROCK ON GUYS!!!!!!!!!1

  • Just seen these guys for the first time last night in Toronto, it was unreal, I can't say Ive ever seen a tighter band.

  • This song sounds soooo much better when it's stripped of all Mutt Lange's pristine production that was on the Hysteria album! Love this song! xD

  • Rockets and a whole bucket of Sparklers and Jumpin' Jacks - too too too hot, never cooling down - AWESOME!

  • saw them they rocked!

  • i SEEN DEF LEPPARD FRONT ROW LAST YEAR TALK ABOUT AWSSSSSOOOOMEEEEEEEE

  • i went to the concert

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THERE SOOOOOOOOOO AWSOME

  • 4:48 that is awesome what viv plays there

  • @krisaf778 Absolutely! It's a shame that for a long while Viv wasn't into soloing as much and played mostly rhythm guitar & let Phil handle almost all the leads. While I'm a big fan of Phil's (I'm a Bassist, but if I were a guitarist I'd be playing his Signature guitar) he can be a little too "weedily" too much of the time, whereas Viv can balance the shred & the melodic very nicely, as seen in the tradeoffs in this as well as the Sheffield '93 versions of "Rocket".

  • @scarred2112 im a Steve/Viv fan. i like what they play b/c its not too complicated. i play regular guitar and i have a guitar book that has all DL songs in it and most of the time i play what steve plays in them except for Women.

  • True!! they sound a bit rusty here!! but then few bands have put so much energy into their work for so long!!..

  • OK, it doesn't matter which is betylter, however pendulum AND def leppard both rock! Leppard are more rock-with-a-hint-of-something-else, while pendulum are just electro-with-a-hint-of-something-else. What leppard is not, pendulum is (music-wise)

  • FINALLY! A year where the footage from download isn't like 2 frames per second...

  • Def Leppard are well better than Pendulum. I'm 11 and my brother is 8 we watched Def Leppard they totally thrashed Pendulum. Def Leppard are amazing.

  • @DefLepp4ever way to go kid!

  • Def Leppard all the way . I was down at the front for Leppard and they were fantastic. I saw the Pendulum 'highlights' on Sky Arts and thought they were utter drivel.

  • Def Leppard sounds good here. Its a shame they got put on the festival again because it seems like people didnt want to see them again.

  • damn, pendulum was way better than this - they deserved main stage friday!

  • @hellsreborn but def leppard are more famous. fuck pendulum when you can have def leppard.

  • @MisterMontage85 Agree ! Def Leppard are older, and more awesome than a lot of bands from download, and I think they deserved Main Stage Sunday ! Def Leppard Rules.

  • @MisterMontage85 DEF don't make DRUM N BASS fella????????

    DEF Rock N Roll

    Pendulum Drum N Bass

You can not compare they are different, yet Pendulum are very good at Heavy/soft/ Rock as well as Trance and all the other styles that they have.....................................?..................

  • @MisterMontage85 Fuck you when you can have Pendulum and Def Leppard, fuck todays metal

  • @hellsreborn Sorry, but every Pendulum song sounds the same. I'd rather watch classics like this than 180 bpm for 2 hours.

  • @hellsreborn No they weren't. Saw both bands, Def Lep hands down! Shame I missed the first bit of their set.

  • @hellsreborn Nah, they didn't deserve to be at Download at all. How many metal bands play dance music festivals?

  • Sounds pretty poor...

  • awesome memories from 2011's download best year yet

  • Ramjizzz.

  • Horsecum.
