  • 2011 Michigan Wolverines: 11-2: Sugar Bowl Champions: More wins versus any bowl eligible teams than other other team in the NCAA....

These are facts while all the big gay whining on here is just that... a bunch of big gay whining.

Winners gonna win and haters gonna hate.

  • a lot of state fans on this video im guessing

  • Michigan is going to get destroyed by bama next season. Youre talking about one of the easiest game schedules in one of the weakest conferences in the nation. I love how UM fans act like Denard Robinson is the second coming of god knowing that hes awesome against bad teams but he plays like shit against good teams. Hes the most overrated player in college football

  • @seanman70 at least they aren't little bitches and are starting to play tougher teams now, we obviously know we are going to get beat. Did we play them cause we think were going to kill them? No, they did it so they can get better and start to build their program to what it used to be and okay why can't we like Denard? Is that such a problem to you? I know he has his ups and downs everyone does, were human so get over yourself

  • @UofMichMan21 Like i said its the fact yall think hes the best player in college ball and one of the most decorated players in NCAA history when hes clearly not. i dont care about him. Do I think hes a great qb..uhh sometimes. He can run but his throwing makes me think otherwise...im not saying he cat get better all im saying is that i know way to many Michigan fan who treat Denard like hes god. I have nothing against him but you and the fans make him hated outside the Michigan world

  • @seanman70 wow. thats ridiculous. we beat notre dame, a good team who beat michigan state. we slaughtered nebraska, who also beat michigan state and is ranked. we beat virginia tech, an 11 and 3 team. we beat ohio state, who beat wisconsin. then when we did play mediocre teams (illinois, purdue, minnesota), we destroyed them. and btw, Denard had over 1,000 yards rushing for the second year in the row and lead u of m to a 11-2 record, i think michigan fans have the right to love Denard

  • @playerricky4 I dont give a shit about michigan or Denard robinson. you guys have the nerve to call him the best player college ball?!?!? one of the most decorated players ever!?!? Thats simply 1000 yards rushing is great but as a qb you should be passing the ball RG3 is a better all around athlete than D Rob. He can throw and run and do two things very effectively. You think im hating on him. You michigans fans treat him like hes the second coming of Jesus. overrated.

  • @seanman70 now you are being a hypocrite. first you say he's the most overrated, now you say he is a great quarterback. i don't know how a great quarterback can be the most overrated player in the country. secondly you are wrong when you say michigan fans think he is the best player in the country. we all come to realize he has weaknesses in his passing. and the reason i was talking about michigan's record in my previous comment was because you said michigan will get destroyed by bama.

  • @playerricky4 How can a great qb be overrated!?!?! I think Eli Manning is a great QB but some say hes overrated. Joe namath was in the hall of fame and by his average stats hes the most overrated NFL player in history so that question was a really dumb one. People have their opinions and facts. You dont speak for all the michigan fans anyway so this whole artice you qrote should be trashed

  • yes but i have season tickets to michigan football and i think im aware of the perception of denard robinson from michigan fans. most think that he possesses great acceleration and speed but can be inaccurate with his passing.

  • @playerricky4 Not knockin ya for going 11-2, thats a solid record but lets take a closer look...you barely edged a team with no defense that committed 5 turnovers. Nebraska's only good win was Michigan St. other than that, they beat nobody. VT played the most chickenshit non-conference schedule ever plus plays in a shitty conference to begin with. And you barely edged the worst OSU team in a decade. Not to mention your non-conf schedule was exactly the most impressive in itself. Just sayin.

  • @HawaiiMarine22 but we didn't only beat nebraska, we destroyed them by four touchdowns.we beat notre dame who had flashes of greatness throughout the season. people say virginia tech sucks cause the got killed by clemson, but the fact is some teams just dont match up well with others.osu also should signs of good play throughout the season, such as when the beat wisconsin.we easily beat illinois and northwestern ON THE ROAD. not saying this schedule is super hard, but its not an easy one though

  • @playerricky4 i'm by no means a michigan fan, but that notre dame win was absolutely incredible. michigan state cheap shotted their way to a win over you guys. As a badger fan, I wanted to play michigan more because i thought they were a better team, and I knew a loss to them would be a result of the skill of Robinson and company, and not of a Gholston late hit...

  • @playerricky4 Like I said I aint knocking ya but Nebraska was overrated. Notre Dame played maybe 2-3 good games all year they still need a QB. Virginia Tech didnt match up against Clemson because they neglected to play anyone of any significance the rest of their season unless you wanna count a so-so Georgia Tech. Their non-conf schedule was even worse than Michigan's. And I keep hearing about OSU...they were 6-7. I know Blue is excited because you finally beat them again but man.

  • @playerricky4 I'm not saying UM was a bad team. A bit flawed at times yes but I'm just making a case that neither of these teams were deserving of a BCS bowl when there were better teams out there. The fact of the matter is they both have huge followings and put fans on the stands and flip on tv's. Thats the reason they were there.

  • @playerricky4 "we easily beat illinois and northwestern ON THE ROAD."

you're acting like that was anywhere near a difficult accomplishment lol

"not saying this schedule is super hard, but its not an easy one though"

no, i think i can safely say it was pretty easy...

  • @Utes2166 play in a real conference? Are you fucking brain dead retarted the b1G is one of the best conferences in the ncaa you fucking skidmark. Also your a utes fan and talking shit lmfao its pretty easy to go undefeated when you play ass teams michigan would destroy the utes you stain.

  • Tech and Michigan's strengths of schedule were both shitty how did they get into a bowl bid cause i'm sure there were better teams than these two

  • @1104KAH Michigan was the only team in the country to play and beat 10 bowl eligible teams.

  • @BrenMcCloud Thats a great stat but honestly how many of those bowl eligible teams were really good teams ? I mean when over half of the teams in FBS football make a bowl game saying a teams bowl eligible doesnt really hold much water. Especially when teams from the Big 10 open against cupcakes from the Sun Belt, MAC, or an FCS team. I mean Western Michigan, Notre Dame, Illinois, Iowa, OSU, Purdue. None of those teams were really good this year. Not trying to knockin ya I'm just pointing it out.

  • and I'm pretty sure if Notre Dame wasnt in the middle of a turnover epidemic they'd have won at Ann Arbor

  • Oh look...2 teams that had no business being a BCS game...garbage.

  • @HawaiiMarine22 eat a dick bitch

  • @cujo8025 Awww somebody took offense. If you can tell me how they were more deserving than Baylor, Kansas State, or Arkansas (who missed out on a technicality) I'll gladly recant my previous post. Did either win a conference championship? Did either beat a top 10 team at any time? Did either have a better strength of schedule than those 3? The answer to all of your questions is NO. So how did they deserve to be there. I'm all ears cujo. Shit Boise State could have probably beat either of these 2

  • @HawaiiMarine22 i agree michigan played only 4 away games and played the easiest schedule in the entire big ten conference. they didnt deserve to get that bowl game. All they showed was it is easy to win home games against shitty teams

  • @HawaiiMarine22 Haha I TOTALLY agree with you! These teams definitely didn't deserve BCS bids... I thought it was ridiculous

  • Boise would've whoop yo overrated asses. And I hate BSu but I hat scUM even more

  • @Utes2166 bullshit and are u a utes fan....the fuck.....fuck your goddamn program i dont give a shit if u beat our 3-9 team asshole boise state will never be at the level michigan is. enjoy going 13-0 and not going to a national title game u prick. try beating ranked teams next time. lmfao

  • @goblue212 PLay in a real confrence you piece of shit! VT got molested twice in one season by a a team that allowed 70 fucking points against a shitty West va team. So BSU would obvuisly beat the shit out of you and your stupid nigger QB,

  • @Utes2166 get your fucking facts straight dipshit Boise plays in the fucking mountain west conference which isn't much too show for, and your a UTES fan? gtfo of here win a couple games besides D-2 teams and will talk

  • @jtizzlei lol can u believe this guy. fuckin either one of our teams would KILL his utes u agree.

  • Comment removed

  • @goblue212 lol utes fans they never learn... and btw vt and michigan was a great game.. hate to see it pull that way for my hokies, but go blue and go hokies!

  • @jtizzlei FUCK YOU ASSHOLE! IM GONNA LOOK UP YOUR ADRESS AND FIND YOU AND SLIT YOUR THROAT AND MURDUR YOUR FAMILY!@ YOU FUCKER

  • @jtizzlei yeah man it was a good game.im from virginia so i know how it is. u guys are a good team. great game bro. good luck next year.

  • @goblue212 yeah I'm looking forward to the bama michigan game should be a good one. and good luck to u guys next year.

  • @goblue212 and haah virginia is the best state lol

  • @jtizzlei norfolk, va bro. born and raised lol no place like it.

  • Comment removed

  • @goblue212 haha norfolk I've been down there once or twice i live like north eastern va 20 min away from dc

  • @jtizzlei USC would whoop your asses

  • @Utes2166 so now your a USC fan lol

  • @Utes2166 the big ten has 3 teams with over 7 national titles and would probably butt rape your utes. and as for that ignorant racist rant lmfao your just showing your lack of class and respect bro. good luck in your......whatever shitty conference your in lol.

  • @goblue212 lol who gives a shit what conference utes is in haha

  • both teams are equally talented, neither is better then the other, michigan just had a better day then vt

  • I love how everyone bitches about that call in ot.....Its the fucking rules the same goes for every team.......Remember when we lost to iowa??? The same thing happened to us...So vt fans quit bitching we won and we are the better team.....GO BLUE!!!

  • My team Michigan played ugly, Virginia Tech's defense was outstanding (surprisingly)...still contemplating whether or not to go see Michigan play Alabama in Sept 2012

  • Re: the OT pass: A player can not be defined as having established control and possession when he is airborne and horizontal. The ball hit the ground when he landed and therefore was very correctly ruled as incomplete. It was a strange but interesting game. Good rebound season by Michigan following the Rodriguez era. I never expected 11-2. Go Blue in 2012!

  • what a ugly game......

  • everyone says the ball touched the ground.. The rules state the ball can touch the ground it just cant aid in the catch of the ball. and no two feet doesnt have to b down when his elbow hit he was down.. now i will say we got screwed out of that catch bit we owned yall all night and shouldnt have settled for fg.

  • VT. You can't kick field goals in the red zone and expect to win the game. Michigans D did what it had to when it counted most. Go Blue!!

  • michigan won nothing will change it so all u VT ppl who r crying drop it

  • That was not a catch by VaTech in overtime. A spectacular attempt but not a catch. Both feet never touched the ground and he didn't get an elbow down until the ball was completely out of bounds.

  • @Brett11996 dont need 2 feet in college, but i agree with u. my opinion is that the ball hit the ground before he had control

  • @Point4121 ah, thats right, my bad. but yeah, the ball definitley bounced, you could see as it hit the ground

  • I dont care what bad calls there were. you cant let the refs beat you. The only stat that matters is the final score

  • They missed that false start by mich on the FG before the half. Overturned a TD call against VT. Missed ANOTHER false start by michigans kicker. This one was to win the game. What a joke! People....michigan is not this great team that the NCAA wants you to believe. They finished 4th in the Big10 confrence, yet they got the 2nd best bowl game in the Big10??? Their only tough road game was at MSU and they exposed them for the frauds that they are (for the 4th year in a row!)

  • @saddy78 sour grapes sparty?

  • @saddy78 thats not a false start kickers can move anywhere thats not a false start.

  • @saddy78

Get over it. In 2012, we're putting Little Brother back in its place.

  • @commodorefan2 Hahaha, spoken like a true Walmart Wolverine.

  • nice field goal AT THE END

  • im ok with michigan but this is bullshit. its a highlight video u have to show both sides. show the good va tech plays.

  • @a48080 this is from the michigan website so it's not suprising that it's bias. if va tech won they would post a video with only their highlights

  • Hemingway was in beast mode much of this game. And Michigan's long snapper catching the pass on the fake FG was priceless as well.

  • Oh and one more thing, about the call. The ball was moving in his hands and the nose hit the ground. Even though it was way to close to tell if his elbow hit the line or not, the nose of the ball hit the ground. I thought it was a great catch and would be upheld, was a little surprised it was overturned. The officials MUST have seen enough for them to conclude that it was not a complete pass before going out of bounds.Nonetheless, it was still an amazing game.

  • @bevil4aday it was like the catch to end ums game against iowa

  • @delongtom86

Only that one actually WAS a catch against Iowa. How could you not notice that he had his entire LEG in bounds, not just the foot?

  • Did anyone else happen to notice the reaction of both teams when VT hit that FG to force OT? It seemed to me that both teams were like "damn, you mean we have to keep playing?". It seemed like both teams were just whipped.

Whoever says bowl games are not important should have paid attention to that. If that game meant nothing to them, VT and UoM would not have fought tooth and nail for a win in that game. Again, my hats off to Beamer and VT, they played a helluva ballgame,

  • From a True Blue Michigan fan. My hats off to VT and that stellar defense of theirs. They held a very potent Michigan offense under 200 total yards. MSU with their great defense this year couldn't do that. So that in of itself is extremely impressive.

About the call: First off the "homer" argument for the Pac-12 officials does not hold ANY water. The Big-Ten and Pac-12 have been rivals for decades, and for a Pac-12 team to "give" a call to Big-Ten school, to me, seems highly unlikely.

  • @bevil4aday That defense of VT isn't so stellar. lol Michigan's offense sucked in the Sugar Bowl. Michigan's offense isn't so potent against better defenses. It was a great defensive game. That's all I can say. Michigan did a great job containing VT in the red zone. Denard Robinson isn't anywhere near ready for the NFL. He has an injured ankle, but he still has a long way to go. I wouldn't draft him if I was an NFL team. He steal has alot of prove as a college player.

  • @Gerko1321 VT had like the 23rd or 4th ranks D in the country this year. Grant you, not what you call a "great" D but a very solid D that played the #2 Big-Ten O like a fiddle and held 2 1000 yrd runners and a near or over 30pts/game O to under 200 total yards, That is a GREAT performance, no matter whats on the helmet. Same goes to UoM's D, 40th ranked, for holding a top 20 RB to under 100 yds. Sorry but those two teams season stats might not show it, but they played great

  • bought and paid for by your friends in Las Vegas.

  • @mcc05900

Hate Michigan all you want...I could care less. But rest assured, Virginia Tech will NEVER have a record anywhere near as impressive as Michigan's, so go back to your conspiracy theory bullshit and leave the sports talk for real enthusiast

  • @ridn4s It's strange. Alot of these comments sound suspiciously similar to those from loser MSU fans with a huge inferiority complex. lol Michigan is a great academic institution with a legendary football program, the ALL TIME MOST WINNING college football program in history. Just win. That's the Michigan legacy. Neither MSU or VT can say that. lol Of course, alot of people "hate" Michigan, which is rooted in envy & jealousy. But they'll always respect Michigan & its winning legacy. lol

  • You're right, I'm a loser, wow, if you keep this up, I may just kill myself, but even if I do, Michigan still got the win! Oh, and you still gargle cum before you swallow!

  • Now I am a Tech fan, but I mean a call was a call. People are going to continue an argument about whether it was a catch or a not; I just wish people could understand that's how the reffs called it, and the game is finished with. All we can do is come back next time and play better! People need to realize that no one is ever going to agree on the same answer, so there is no point to continue an argument if you won't agree. Not trying to be rude, but it is kinda a silly "fight"

  • @WDRiddle2 hey man my hats off to u guys u played great we had no business winning this game. good game man.

  • @goblue212 Thanks man; glad someone respects my opinion :) haha, I don't hate Michigan at all, they are a great team, I just like to support my state teams. And besides the controversial play, the game was awesome to see.

  • @WDRiddle2 lol yeah im from virginia and the vt fans were always classy. u guys have pride just like michigan does. oh and by the way bro. that td catch WAS a catch. ill admit we dodged a bullet.

  • @goblue212 if you look at the other angles,it shows the ball came loose,so the call was correct, the ground was used to complete the "catch"

    '

  • @gyco7

Before getting all philosophical on it, why don't you just press your mute button. I'm gonna ride hard for my team, and when people talk shit, I'm go..a talk shit back. Thank you for your 15 seconds of advice, but I don't need your input to enlighten me in any way, shape or form. And if you don't like my posts, then by all means, blow me!

  • VT fan here so first Congrats to Michigan on the their win. Do I think Coale made a TD? YES! However, there were several bad coaching calls made, and Hokies making other mistakes so that is why we lost. Also, congrats to Myer for a heck of a game. He has nothing to hang his head about!

  • @kindredspirit20 Especially for a third string kicker, who was an afterthought. Congrats to VT for a good season, but the night belonged to the Maize and Blue, after all the crap they've went through for the past 3 years, they deserve this one. :)

  • Coulda blown us out?!! Couldn't even score a touchdown. Stonewalled time and time again in the redzone. That's why the Michigan red zone D is tops, bend but never break. VT is like the Bills of the NCAA.

  • he was thinking about brunette girls when he made that kick

  • @mcc05900 I'm a loser?! Well, to me it seems I'm the winner here, being that my team won and all. Don't be mad, just try a Lil harder next year and maybe you guys can eat from the victory table too, until then, enjoy your soup line bitch....and guzzle guzzle you little cum dumpsters!

  • @ridn4s what does this mean? the mere claim you rooted or cheered for either doesnt mean anything. you are probably as lazy as most fans. put some effort into thought, something that actually matters. these kids are playing football and are all going to eat well tonight, better then you i bet. get over yourself. you dont play on the team.

  • @ridn4s Haha that's actually funny. But the real joke is I didn't really care about the game. Don't get me wrong I wanted Tech to win just cause I fucking hate Michigan, but it was a catch. And you had a HOMER replay official in the booth who believed there was "Disputable" video evidence it wasn't a catch when clearly it was. It has to be without a doubt an incomplete pass to overrule it, so if you honestly thought without a doubt it was incomplete then I just think you're just fucking stupid

  • @ridn4s Oh and you're still a loser bitch

  • It was a good game all around, and V. Tech gave a valiant effort. What's bad is that the Spartans players are doing all their talking on twitter after the game. They should enjoy their Outback Bowl trophy and shut it!

  • VT was clearly the better team, but just like in the Notre Dame game, big plays made the difference. As for the faux touchdown catch, the ball came loose before he ever had possession, and when he hit the ground, it aided him in securing the football. I'll give him one for the effort, but it was no catch.

  • I heard VT fans swallow!

  • @ridn4s You're a fucking loser you swallow bitch. Your team got lucky as shit and you know it. Nice fucking Michigan/Big 10 replay official overturning Tech's touchdown in overtime. You have to cheat to win good victory you fucking loser.

  • If it wasn't for your own stupid mistakes?!? Well, if if was a fifth we'd all be drunk! If you were a better team, you wouldn't make mistakes you dumb fuck!

  • @Murray13j

Cry cry cry you whiney ass Lil bitch, who got the win?! Nuff said fuckin faggot ass West Virginia inbred piece of shit! Hahahahahahaha!!!

    Go Blue #winning

  • VTech went for it 4th n goal and missed out on points

fumbled a kickoff return that lead to mich points

went for a fake punt that destroyed field position n momentum

    Did nothing in the redzone!!

STOP CRYING VTECH!!! Dropping a pass in overtime was not the reason you lost the game!!

  • michigan was outplayed and still won , in my 45 years of being a UM fan ive seen michigan completly out play teams in a bowl only to lose on some dumbass ref that had a grudge vs michigan, thank god for replay GET OVER IT AND DEAL WITH IT GO BLUE

  • @wolverine58

You aren't kidding. Like the time that Nebraska had its whole team on the field on the last play and the refs failed to notice?

  • Replay Official in the booth last night: Jim Fogltance, He's been known for controversial replay officiating. How Fogltance ever got a job officiating again is dumb...after having been reprimanded and kicked off Pac-10 fields (but inexplicably was allowed to go to the replay booth) for both blatantly poor and biased calls. Might wanna check his pockets today for a big fat check from Tom Wilson, CEO of Allstate and Michigan Alumni.

  • @Drummin311 lol keep making excuses dude VT lost cause there a bunch of idiots all they had to do was score a td but they blew it, they tried faking a punt which was stupid, the great running back on opening possession lost 22 yards cause hes a complete idiot and u want to complain about the booth calls? on the ball hitting the ground? lol u my friend are just an idiot

  • @Drummin311 Only can be overturned from indisputable evidence. VT played a good game but your teams mistakes were costly. Michigan brings home a deserved win. Take the loss knowing y'all put up a good fight. Quit crying.

  • Ball hit ground receiver landed out of bounds no td game over michigan wins 23-20 ot no sense in arguing because the game is over

  • go blue

  • Not a catch.

  • That looked like a good catch to me, Should of been a TD but oh well move on...

  • @SuperBigMess agree thts fuckin bullshit

  • Brad Nessler thinks West Virginia is a part of Virginia

  • By rule it was not a catch. The player must cleanly, CLEANLY maintain posession of the ball while making a move and the receiver did not as you can clearly see the ball move before and when he makes contact with the sideline. Had the receiver cradle his hands under the ball there would have been grounds to confirm the touchdown.

  • I hate to see a game decided by the refs. After seeing the catch 20 times on replay how could you not call it a TD. Yes the ball hit the ground, but he was at full extension, how could it not hit. Amazing catch should have been the highlight of the season for VT. Born and raised in Michigan.

  • @mega12234 the ball clealry moved when he hit the ground.. just plain and simple not a catch. you should be blaming your coach for dumb play calling..thats what lost the game..

  • @mega12234 he landed out of bounce first off. look at where he secures the catch. that eliminates any further discussion.

  • Fuck Virginia Tech and all the cry babies who are still whining about it!

  • @ridn4s Fuck you! We shitted on Michigan and got robbed in the end. If it wasn't for our own stupid mistakes it would have been a blowout.

  • @Murray13j I'll give you that, VT was the better team, but as Minnesota found out 9 years ago, never count the opponent out.

  • @Murray13j no need for name calling. i just know the rules.. the ball cant move if it hits the ground.. it did. i dont know what elts there is to say... you say you should of blown us out..but you didnt blow us out. your team couldnt even score a touchdown..... you had how many chances in the red zone??? did the refs cheat you out of ALL those chances??

  • Tired of politics in sports. When the announcer says to present the trophy is the Sugar Commish and he says as a Michigan Alum.....im proud to present this trophy...it all made since.

  • Can anyone tell me how he didn't maintain possesion? Tell me he caught it out of bounds. But didn't maintain possesion!!!!!

  • @MrMadskillztc

Agreed. Looked iffey to me. :-)

  • @MrMadskillztc Great catch in bounds.

  • @MrMadskillztc the ball moved slighty when it hit the ground..

  • How great would it be if the winner faced Oklahoma State or Oregon? But I guess tournaments don't work for D1 sports programs...Oh, wait.

  • Congrats to the Pac-10 refs on their 1st Sugar Bowl win. VT got absolutely cheated.

  • @Murray13j The overturned TD was questionable for sure. And Hokie fans are justified in feeling slighted. But (1) there's no telling what Michigan would've did on offense once they got the ball back and (2) the refs didn't miss the field goal.

  • @Murray13j I'm sorry to say this as a Michigan fan but yes you we robbed.

  • @Murray13j ya.. it had nothing to do with the dumb play calling by the V.T hcoach at all....

they should of punted the ball..not went for a trick play.. they lost it for themselfs.. noone got cheated. your just mad

  • @jwb864 Michigan actually staying in the game was caused by our dumb play calling. Yes, I'm totally pissed...because Danny caught that pass. There is no question about it. Michigan fans will say it wasn't because they don't want to admit they won because of the terrible refs. 180 offensive yards? Like I said to the other moron, Michigan got pooped on. Our stupid mistakes allowed for ya'll to not get blown out.

  • @Murray13j He never had possession. He got a lot of help from the ground, and the officiating really wasn't that bad. The only blown call was the pass interference no-call before the roughing the kicker on VT.
