Nice! Where do you have keyboard and mouse? On table behind the TV? (i am also thinking of buying wireless mouse and keyboard so i could play PC games on plasma, but i dont know yet, how should i set up my keyboard and mouse for this puirpose)
I do the same thing on my HD 42" LCD. I play Crysis at 1920X1080 everything on Very High on my GTX 275 OC Edition with a 3.6 GHZ Core 2 Quad, 8GB OCZ HPC Reaper-X Memory and 2 Terrabytes in Raid-0. The system rocks hard.
Hi,what resoultion are you playing this on? I connected my pc to my 42" plamsa and crysis won't run in 1920*1080. I am running a 5850 ati card and other games like bad company run in 1080p fine... Just not crysis.
its funner on a big screen . I got myne on a 42 inch lcd 120mhz sharp at 1080p settings. got 2 sli 9800gts o'c but gonna get the 5970 in a week .Dont forget surround sound =-)
@123456iambelial LCDs are not that good for gaming because they hold the image longer then plasmas. LCDs are good for the wii maybe, but not for pc gaming.
@DSOXBLADE I am using an LCD monitor and I play games. Well, as long as your LCD has at least 5ms it won't ghost the images. Most of TVs now are either 5ms or 4ms.
Only thing disappointing about that game was damage system, you could shoot the enemies in the face with a shotgun and they sometimes would survive, and their bodies were always left unscathed, even if they had a tank shell hit them square in the chest. My only complaint.
en mi opinion yo hace 2 meses tube un plasma y luego me compre un lcd y el plasma tiene ese efecto de mierda que lo tenes que ver en una perspectiva que se te ponga asi ese efecto obscuro o quemado como decis vos
in some way the lcd is better if your talking about surfing the internet and allot stable txt and picture..but when it comes to colors and video quality plasma is better hands down
btw full hd plasma is great for text reading but some times it feels risky to show stable icon's on it ...one thing for sure the burnin problem is almost fix with the new generation plasma "and to be in the safe mode lower your screen brightens to be 50%" (200 hours break in )
in a way bigger tv's are a waster for pc unless the resolutions go up a 24" 1920x1200 you can have very close to your face and it would look good and take up probably even more of your field of view the a 42" 1080p as you have to stand alot further back to get a good image. The real advantage is more people can crowd around it and watch from it
Practically only few % of people sees green ghosts while watching plasma. For youtube it was recorded by camera so everyone can see it. Camera was probably set in higher sensitivity to be able to capture the green light.

everything on this guy's pc MUST be wireless, cuz if he gets too close to it (less than 1 meter) he should have to move his head to see whats in the corner. it's not need a tv of this size. 21'' is the biggest you'll need. bigger than that, it's rich-bullshit
4:27 hey, wait a second, I've never heard a dog on Crysis before, lol, nice video and nice TV too, I have 50" Panasonic Viera 1080p full HD HP-50Z800U.
it increases unless you enable PhysX then it goes down just a tad bit but i have mine set up 2 Graphics cards for graphics processing like vissuals and my third set up for PhysX processing...
well yea depends on the game like if its crysis youll use three but if its UT3 youll use 2 and one for physx unless you got like a core i7 then who the fuck needs a physx card...
How the hell did you get it to run so smooth? Did you seriously overclock your stuff to 70GHz or something? I have almost the same PC as you do, but I can only run it in 1440x900, Very High @ 17-30 fps. Shit man, that's nice.
I would love to hear how you got it to run that smooth.
I have a question, What are the pros and cons of nvidia vs. ATI? I building a new computer so I need to know this kind of stuff so I can make a decision on what to get, I'm currently leaning toward a 8800 GT DDR3 Card, but is there anything better for about the same price?
Yeah I'm trying to keep it around a budget of 1k and the specs that I have are only slightly over that goal... And they are surprisingly good specs for a PC just over 1k....
Decided I'ma go with the HD 4850, because some people have said it gives great performance in games especially for the price. I also watched a few crysis HD 4850 gameplay vids, and it was pretty awesome, and it will be more awesome cuz my specs met all their specs plus they are running fraps.. goddamn my new comp will OWN lol
ati is good price/performance ratio... but if your planning on playing on screens like this (1900x1080) id suggest getting the 4870... 4850 will struggle once you start putting things on max
Alright, I think I have a little extra cash in my budget for some extra performance. Thanks for your input, helps a lot. Because I really do want to be able to run games on max. :D

Well, when i went for the 4870 and my friend for the 280gtx i thought i was getting a mid range card but then.
we started comparing our results and i was surprised that my 4870 on stock outperfroms my friend's 280gtx in crysis.
in the flying bench tool i get at 1680x1050 res. with everything on Very-high about 28fps and he gets like 26.+ fps.
I was a nvidia fan but after their bs. 200 series cards i aint gonna support them.
the best wins.
And now AMD is the way to go.
