Naturally felled means that wind, woot rot, termites, erosion or old age caused the tree to fall naturally. We live on 120 acres so each year we have a few trees that fall naturally, and as long as they dont fall in the river or creeks, we mill them right on the spot and hand carry the wood up and out, let it dry for about a year, then use it.

That means that trees which fell naturally. We did not cut any trees- we used trees which were already down naturally! it was built in the most sustainable way also using LOTS of recycled materials. You can do both & still have a beautiful home.

No need for that- you need to come see why. For the twice a year we do get breezes with heavy rains- ! No bugs, spectacular views over the Gulf and Corcovado- it IS the coolest house ever!

Life is a series of moments. If you are fortunate, you experience moments which inadvertently define your character and maybe even redefine it. The tree house at Casa de la Lapa is a living breathing work of art. The rain forest on the Osa Peninsula is not only an Eco Tourists dream, but a living tribute to our existence as a whole.
