@MYCITY88 Portland and Vancouver may be low markets but they have their own stadiums, fan support and an investor to start and run the club. The Maimi Fusion were a great team I would hope to see them back but @djgabrielpresents is right the tickets were cheap and they didn't sell why in Portland and Vancouver they do, the league was losing too much money in Miami and Tampa so in the best interest of the league they left, they didn't want to end up like the NASL
The tickets to see a fusion game was $12 and $16 dollars, and the stadium was never sold out, Fans in miami are cheap and always broke and thats why they are not getting into MLS.
MLS needs to stop starting MLS Clubs in low market cities such as vancover and portland. They need to focus on bringing back futbol/ soccer to miami besides New york and L.A. Miami is one of the biggest n most well known cities in dis country n its a city dat has people from all around da world, and if we bring a futbol/soccer team to Miami we could attart big time euro stars here because who wouldn't wanna live in Miami.
Don't be fooled, Vancouver is a big city! it has just as much international influence and appeal as Miami. I used to live in Broward and went to Fusion matches back in the day.
I live in Seattle now and I've been a Sounders season ticket holder for the last 2 years. I take frequent trips to Vancouver and Portland, although Portland is small the fan base is big and they support the sport to the fullest.
I was really hoping to see Miami get a team again, it will happen soon enough!
@carella211 ha,ha u`d rather seatle?? that city sucks, worst weather ever, always rainning, cloudy, u dont know what to wear ...damnnn i get now why kurt cobain killed himself...
you had your chance and failed in two years i want a team closer to me i have the Charleston Battery but there never on tv and they're not mls they're usl i would really Appeciate if they moved here but i know they wont because where to small of a city but there's alot of soccer fans here who would go to all the soccer games but if it cant be put here then id like one in Atlanta or Greenville because i dont really like Charlotte teams
Whoever's decision it was to take Miami Fusion away just destroyed my life and dreams of live soccer weekends, man....Dam'n whoever it was...Stupid....

@cadi23 Miami, yes. Tampa, forget it. I though F. C. Barcelona was talking w/MLS about the possibility of starting a team extension in that city.

@vivelavidarocka it would be cool if both come back that way the mls can have a florida derby, imagine the rivalry between thous 2 teams
cadi23 1 year ago
@cadi23 Let's just start with one for now. The thing is you need to build a stadium in Miami. The Fusion used to play in Ft. Lauderdale.
vivelavidarocka 1 year ago
@vivelavidarocka yea i remember that very true, hopefully in the future we can have a florida team!
