The Tony Hawk games jumped te shark with THUG2 imo. THUG was ok but easier and shorter overall than the THPS series. After THPS4 they just started inventing more and more ways to inflate scores (being able to get off your board without breaking the combo, a slowmo gimmick minigame in the air which could get you (judging on this video alone), with some practice, 20000 points for one trick in the air (of a _small_ jump, that is) and probably more I forgot), and the games got easier and easier.
