Buying the first 2 seasons of Perfect Strangers was the best decision I've made in the past 5 years. I'm sort of glad they haven't released the "Vanilla Ice/Neon Sweatpant" '89-'93" years yet.

I so miss those days!! Every Friday night I was glued to the TV screen watching the shows. I miss watching Full House and Perfect Strangers.

Thank GOODNESS it's funny? No. Try THANK GOD it's funny. Cause this kind of thing is nothing without divine intervention. These shows were nothing until the Creator got involved. You think Mark-Linn Baker got his acting skills anywhere than from the greatest actor of all? Baker is the voice of a generation--the guy you think of when you think of Hollywood in the 80s. Fonda, Eastwood, Brando, Pinchot. It doesn't get much better than that.

why did abc stop tgif? it used to be the best night of comedy, esp for young ppl who werent allowed to date

or for kids whose parents did not want their parents did not want them to watch TV on a school night

(and that's partly how I was more of a PF fan than a Cosby or Family Ties or Cheers fan)

What's ironic was that when Larry Appleton (Mark Linn Baker) appeared on Family Matters, he didn't appear as his Larry Appleton character from Perfect Strangers, but as a different, more cynical character.

he also played a bad guy on full house (i think he was becky's arrogant cousin)

He played Becky's brother who had the twins (ugly twins, IMO) competing against Becky and Jessie's twins in a talent contest in which Jessie and Becky's twins ultimately won.
