I started on Horde and went to alliance because I realized that Horde has a lot of decent players, while ally has it's fair share of kids and then a very talented elite. Ally is a challenge to win bgs and you get better playing them. Sure, Horde has some amazing players as well but ally is where you challenge yourself.

I have found this to be generally true (Ihave played on all server types and both factions), Horde have more jerks, but are generally better at their class/race/dungeon roles. Alliance have more players, less mature, and of you kill one, even if they are 10 lvls above you (true story) they call 5 max lvl guildees to deal with just you.
