first off it's not practical to teach a whole song in an hour or hour and a half. Second off, nobody does a performance to a whole song, that's just not interesting.  Songs move in repetition. So the movement inevitiably becomes repetitive and boring.

Nobody does choreography to a whole song. In this piece, they only did it up to the 1st chorus. I'm pretty sure he didn't teach the whole thing during the class either. I'm sure they cut it somewhere in between, but when choreographers perform it in front of the class, they dance the whole piece.
