Interesting thing: This game was originally going to have explosions if a car was hit hard enough. There was also an alpha test somewhere of a semi truck splitting one of the cars in half. Imagine if that had made it into the game!

@matheusrinaldi2 If you like Paradise, then Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is also a really great game. My only quarrel is that full car destruction (they're real cars like Bugatti and Lamborghini) is only available in races, not on free roam, where all you really see is crumpling and shrapnel. It's still a very good fast paced game.

I don't like how in head on/wall crashes the front of the player's car barely crushes, and then suddenly the passenger cell is bent in 30 different places. I mean, at those speeds, your front end is GONE, not mildly crushed.

@EMOCakexX Games that use licensed cars have terms not displaying simulative damage for certain reasons. Because Burnout Paradise and GTA IV do not have licensed cars, They can make them realistic. Thats why.

@EpicNoobBoyTV I thought the same way until I saw what Criterion did with Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. I've never seen such expensive licensed cars get so repeatedly trashed in a game.

I think for burnout the issue was funding and game concept. Adding licensed vehicles wouldn't have added much to the game because Burnout has always been solely focused on the driving experience itself. Beyond that, it's expensive to buy so many licensing deals.

PS3 has better blur effect when going fast or when you crash, but xbox 360 has deeper colours + is just a bit sharper than ps3 when playing in Full HD. (1080p)
