man everyone loves them ..and all there songs r still big today and they can go crazy if they want and their rap is better then the shit u call rap now
Black people invent it.. White people do it better and more sophisticated. I'm not being racist, and that's not always the case... but it seems to be the case here.
I'm so glad I got to play Noise Addict's - 'My Sarong' on TPA community radio WMNF & did'nt leave a stoopid comment on here instead; get well soon Adam!!
That magazine was amazing. So much content. It was packed and fun. It had fun surprises too like a floppy record with Biz Markie singing Benny and the Jets and a fold up SUV with a big ass woofer in the back. That's good business. Go out of the way and give the biggest bang for the buck.
When i saw MCA old i was thinking why should i care he's suffering but right away i changed my mind and really to think about him and how i will feel if i was Mike D or Ad Rock but there like brothers even closer and MCA is dying no we gotta care
the magazine was ahead of its time. i don't think it failed so much as the band moved on to other ideas. for example, adam (or was it mike?) just sold his interest in BMW (Brooklyn Machine Works -- a custom bicycle shop -- to snoop dogg.) also, they are very into their families, their music, and human rights issues.
Yeah exactly! Who cares about how American corporations are raping the third world. It's not like we're responsible for that sort of thing..... wait a minute
yuh the beasties are getting very serious now on interviews. love the fact that they changed 180, compared to before where they were being idiots. now they're social activists, all three of em. yauch most especially. you guys rock! much respect to you! and your music is still awesome
they treated women like a piece of meat when they started out. i don't care what you say, that is WRONG. now they have grown up and matured and are still awesome performers and they don't do that anymore. if you think treating women like a piece of meat and acting like a bunch of little boys, then that's what you think. being socially responsible, u should try it some time. they kick ass w/ it now.
I think you can love sex and still be grown up. Many of us turned 30 with our dicks intact. I agree with nonviolence and sound business and all that shit and practice it, but I still love chicks with nice tits and asses. Big deal. I'm not raping anyone and neither did they.
I love the Beastie Boys and have since License to Ill, but on the License to Ill tour they were making complete asses of themselves. In the long run I think that made them great people because they've tried to make up for past wrongs I think.
chill out, sex is sex, we all love it sexuality and the opposite sex; its ridiculous to deny it. Think of the bigger picture. I wouldnt moan if i heard a bunch of girls going crazy over a guy, however sexual. Its natural. and at the end of the day means nothing.
Right, now i have to covert that into a ryhming rap
What's with people insulting how they were in 1986? They were kids back then, that's why they acted like kids. Everyone has fun when they are teens and then gets more mature as we age and get life experience. Besides, take a look at Licensed to Ill and then any "Gangsta Rap" album these days... It's much worse now, I think anyways.

The interview is from an economy/business show on CNN, not a music show.

Ever see any "rap" artists ever so passionate about such a great cause? The Beastie Boys are not only amazing entertainers but great humans!

Is there any complete version of this interview anywhere? MCA is getting interesting on the issue of trade and human rights and then it cuts...
