  • Hi, where i can download the action window or table that u used the powder. thanks

  • It is hard to find a Free service to sell digital goods. Already Paypal or somebody else is taking their commissions. If you wanna sell cheap products, you cannot get even 10% of your real price. I started to work with theContentBazaar com , they are really good at their job. It is not advertising, I believe that if they will get more sellers, the marketplace will be more crowd. They have very good distribution channels with face, twitter and 3 or 4 blogs. I advise you to check.

  • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Get the Free full version of photoshop today @

    GetAdobe . tk

    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

  • what version is this

  • can we create the power? or is it a plug in? it's amazing!!

  • @kiolee It is a photoshop action that I sell on my web site. And sure you can create anything you like and can figure out, in Photoshop but the powder is my creation.

  • Hi, I have the photoshop program the new one, I want to use the mamas powder to retouch my pictures. But I don't know which layer should I get? Please help me.

  • @leidybernasconi If you have Mama's Powder you get free product support. Just call or e-mail me.

  • you are the Best!!!!!!!!

  • How did you get this program? What is it called?

  • @tiffanynicole000 It is Adobe Photoshop, you can get a trial of it from adobe (dot) com

  • @isausol Okay! Thanks!

  • can u do that with corel paint shop pro X2

  • No I can't

  • Mama, how do you make an image that looks 3D cartoony? Like the ones you see on fantasy wallpapers? Most of the themes are angels and fairies... do you have a video on that mum?

  • tidy.

  • You probably need a 3D program, Like Blender or many others to start off with. You can purchase these programs or google 3D drawing programs to find some free ones. You can import your 3D files into Photoshop to further manipulate, add textures, and manipulate on the x, y, and z axis.

  • Like how do you put the picture not to be blurry because i zoom in and like paint and whatever but it doesnt work will you please help me?!!

  • So basically applying *Powder* Is the same as using a blur over the skin and cleaning after?

  • You have a stupid name and a stupid voice! :D

  • Hmm This is great Technique, but How does it translate to CS4 and the upcoming CS5?

  • Works fine in Photoshop versions 6 through CS4 and I'll assume in CS5, too!

  • This woman rocks! Her tutorials are fabulous: easy to follow and well explained!

  • i have photosho 5 on my computer, how do i create or obtain a powder action??

  • Sorry, it was not created for Photoshop Elements of any version and will only work in the full blown Photoshop versions 6 through CS4.

  • oh okay well i do hav photoshop 7, but just havnt downloaded it yet, how wud i create/obtain it then?

  • Make sure it is Photoshop 7 and NOT Photoshop Elements 7. The similar names can get confusing. If you want to get the Mama's Powder Original, shown here, you have to purchase from the products page of my Website-the link is in the more info area here and listed on my Channel page.

  • You could probably get close by duping the background layer, then doing some combo of gaussian blur and median cut. Then it's dial down the layer opacity, and add a mask such that you'll paint with the mask to make visible again. Might also help to change layer mode to screen or something like that, but it will take experimenting. Recorded actions do stuff like that to make it convienient and consistent in one fell swoop, yet doing the process manually works just as well with older versions.

  • people who sell actions for high prices are stupid and don't no how to d&b only degrunge

  • People who make and sell actions are probably a lot smarter than the people who make stupid comments. Stop "hating" and maybe your mind will clear up enough to get creative.

  • no, people who sell actions are as bad as any sales person. charging anything over $10 is ridiculous when most kind non greedy people share many of their for free. Though only silly people who buy from you are dumb enough to think they are "being creative" using some one else actions instead of experimenting them selves. You Crook.

  • I'm probably a far more honest person than you! Obviously you don't take into consideration all the time and energy and videos and products I've already done for FREE and continue to do for FREE on my Web site and YouTube. Tell me about all the FREE stuff you do for others? Who's the crook, here?

  • ibankYU, honestly: you're wrong my friend.

I don't know how old you are but selling things is the most normal thing in the world. Creatives live with this strange curse where their clients tend to think that their works are toys with no value. But if you're a creative you should see that this is a weird point of view, while instead you feed it!

Selling a thing is not "greed"! Are you a kid? Did you pay for your PS copy? Do you have a family? A job?

This is Shan's job! Why do you spit on it?

  • Some people do pay for convienience, and you should consider that as well. Yeah, just about any fool can cook a scrambled egg and fry a sausage add a toasted muffin and cheese. But does that make McDonald's a crook for selling the end result so you can enjoy it without the effort? Instead of chiding the person making the McMuffin, you could be giving some hints on how people could make their own. May not be the same at first, but if they're willing to add effort -eventually they'll do better.

  • I Agree, learn how to use the product or buy actions, but don't sit there and criticize people who are out selling cool stuff for a buck

  • BTW: I'm a professional photographer and a Photoshop guru. I DO know how to D&B.

And, guess what? I use Shan's powder action! It's a very useful filter if you use it in combination with the HB.

    D&B? A very interesting technique.

Try to do it on 80 30megapixel pictures every week (yes, I'm a pro, remember? This is the amount of finished shots I have to deliver to agencies every week) and you'll see that it's juuuust a little bit impracticable.

Paying 25$ to save so much time is CHEAP!

  • Thanks ZioZambe! When ibankYU grows up and has to support himself and a family....maybe they'll get our drift! For now, I think he's probably underaged or very immature as the name-calling would indicate. It's sad.

  • Photoshop Mama is a lousy tutor. By failing to explain how to create a "POWDER" action--the most important part of cleaning the skin--she might as well prevented everyone from wasting their time watching her incomplete tutorial

  • That's funny...I don't know what you do for a living to support your family but I'm sure you don't work for FREE and I would not expect you to do work for me for FREE!! I have over 140 videos on Youtube and 90% of those have NOTHING to do with what I sell to earn a living. Your attitude is quite ridiculous! But please don't bother watching any of my videos since you obviously can't see or appreciate them.

  • I love her warm voice ♥

  • Wow...this is amazing. What I didn't get was the whole action thing. How do I apply this? I am new to the whole action item.

  • Love the video but how do you create the powder action?

  • Sorry, that's privileged information and copyrighted-- Selling my products is part of my livelihood. You'll have to buy it to find out.

  • I found a metallic colored wacom 4 at a garage sale about 2 months ago for 5 bucks! He had everything but the driver disc, but that's free online anyway. I already had an old wacom graphire 3, so I knew what I was looking at, but the guy had been open for like five hours by the time I got there. I was surprised to see it! He said "I knew eventually someone would know what that was"! He also sold me some nxt desktop panel speakers for 2 bucks and some extra keyboards and mice for cheap.

  • That's awesome! My mom doesn't even know what photoshop is... even though I installed it on her comp xD

  • hm..i wanted to ask..can you create me one ? ^^

  • this tutorial rocks! cute girl btw O_O lol jking

i learn some cool stuff bout the powder layer, i wish i had photoshop CS3 tho i've got 7.0

  • Photoshop 7 is great! I still have it. To me, that was the landmark edition and it still works perfectly! Now if you are talking about Photoshop Elements 7, that's a different story and it does NOT have the needed features for what I do.

  • agreed. I have CS3 and 7. I still use 7 just as much. There are just a couple of brushes that I need that are not in 7

  • your daughter has really pretty red hair! before and after photoshop thing. ^_^

  • What can I use instead of the powder tool?

  • esta bien de bien

  • hey uh i was wondering if you could photoshop a photo for me? and i love this tutoriul.<3

  • i could do it for you i am REALLY good with photshop and i would be happy to do it.... (if u want)..lol talk to me back if u want me to do it for you

  • OH Awesome

But how to get Powder Tool Baby :D

  • Hi mama, How can I get that powder tool?

  • Were did you find my wife's picture P S Lady ? LoL

  • uh...don't think so...you know this is one of my daughters!

  • Hi Ma ! When is dinner ?

  • Ha! You sound just like my husband!! I'm too busy cookin' in Photoshop! Aw...now I feel guilty and guess the universe is sending me a message to go cook some dinner! Thanks!

  • What are we having ?

  • hehe - "Auggie56" isn't your son-in-law? Thanks for this great tutorial, btw, PSMama, very useful info!

  • nope he sure isn't

  • wow ... ur daughter looks pretty and beautiful ^_^ ... even without the Digital Makeup

  • Thanks! I thinks so too! She is beautiful inside and out!

  • She is pretty.

  • and ur spam doesnt.

  • you're really good! keep up the good work. P.S: I like your voice :)

  • Thanks mama that was great, you gave me some good ideas, what i usually do just make an extra layer or layers of the original photo and i pay with the tones and the skin correction and such, then i add a mask and i play with what sections i want the mask to appear, if i want lighter eyes i focus on the eyes and apply the mask and etc. of course i try to add some noise to the final layer just so it looks normal or real... lol

  • Jakby mnie tak przerobili, to ho ho...

  • ***************

  • cheers photoshopmama this realy helped keep up the good work

  • hi... u r so great thank you.

but i have a question - i could't find at your web-site the 'action' to download... can anyone here can help me with that?

keep going on mama.... Thank you

  • Click the sidebar more info area, my Website link is on there, go to the Products section. You can download the image in the Mama's Powder Original area but NOT the powder, you'll have to purchase that if you want it.

  • where i can find some good pictures to modify on photoshop ?

  • mama ur da best....i wish could download d action..

  • Hi Mama Shan, don't let that judgmental person get to you... we love and appreciate what you are teaching us! I've been doing a grad series and I noticed that all the grads (police officers) looked exhausted in the photos, with black circles under their eyes. I "invented" my own powder, but of course your method is more professional and I'm gonna learn to use it... thanks tons!

  • Thanks for the support. I know my style of teaching doesn't suit everyone but I'm very happy it suits most folks who watch them and comment

  • watch?v=CXD9IVqquN0

  • omg that was a huge make over for that lady. :)

  • Yeah this was mainly to show how to use different things in Photoshop...normally you don't do quite so much for regular portraits. Also if you use a makeup artist prior to the shoot, you won't have so much to do.

  • no...it is not just a guassian blur selection. It's a forumula of several things that I came up with and that I sell as an Action on my Web site. It cuts retouching time way down! You should try it!

  • My boyfriend and I are fashion designers who are starting up our own clothing brand. At the moment, we do everything ourselves in the company from admin, designing and photo shooting to Adobe works. So all your tutorials and Adobe products are just what we need to save ourselves some time! Brilliant work, Mama! :)

  • Awesome! We shoot for a few local fashion designers and those are such fun shoots! Wishing you the best and much success in your business and glad you're learning some skills from my tutorials! Thanks!

  • hey que buen tuto gracias

  • I hate it when teachers merely read the chapter ahead of the class, then teach a lesson on it. I sense this is going on here.

  • What?!##? First of all I'm not reading from anything. I've been a digital retoucher for 10 years and taught for 9 years. These are my techniques from my own workflow. Brush up on your senses, please!

  • Also I find it extremely unusual that you would even make a statement that you "hate" it when teachers have basically "prepared" for the class...or would you just prefer the teacher act like a babysitter, hand you a book, and just say "Do Lessons 1 through 3 and when you're finished you can leave ?" Repetition is key to learning new programs, so if you have to read, listen to a lecture, observe a demo, and perform you will only retain more and be able to apply it later on.

  • This is GREAT!

    You're so talented.

I would LOVE to know how to make photos this good!

    -Andrea

  • You WILL! Keep watching and keep practicing!

  • Sorry, no more give-a-ways. I have other types of actions at the bottom of the products page that are free, but not the digital makeup or artistic actions.

  • thanks for the reply. any suggestions on where to find a video how to use a wacom tablet. soup to nuts...just got a used one on craigs list. wacom should do this with the prices they charge.

  • You can always download the current drivers for your model from Wacom. Then basically just plug it in. You can find adjustments in Control Panel to set for your personal pressure...other than that it's a matter of just adjusting certain Brush Settings in the Brush palette as to whether you want the pressure to affect opacity or size of the diameter.

  • momma, are you still giving the power away for free? I went to your website and could only find the link with a charge to it. I think your great and have learned a lot. so if your charging for it, i understand.

  • You can as an alternative make a layer, set a large sample area with colour picker. Sample a color. Draw over the skin with a soft brush and change opacity. Not quite the same effect but almost.

  • If you are using the real Photoshop 7 and NOT Photoshop Elements 7. Specifically, which items are you not able to access. A general statement does not help me help you.

  • hi ... iam using photoshop 7.0 and it dosent provide all that tolls what is shown in the video , or it may ,but i ma not able to sccess , ples hepl me out

  • shut up

  • Very interestin. Thanks.

  • Mama thank you so much!! I learned so much! I wish I lived near you, I'd take your course at the college but sadly I'm in Canada :(. but atleast you have these videos. You go through and explain so much and things make so much more sense now!!! Much love!!!!

  • Glad to help. Enjoy them!

  • thank you for this video your daughters voice is sweet

  • Thanks! Photo is of my daugher--voice is Mama's!---but we do sound a lot alike!

  • You do haha thank you for your tutorials they are very in-depth and thorough

  • It doesn't hurt to ask but no I cannot show how I made this action. This is how I earn my living, pay my bills and take care of my family. It takes a lot of time, thought and calculation when I create these formulas and I try in other ways to educate you all for free. At least let me have this to earn my living. I try to balance what I give for free and what I need to sustain my life. I'm not a greedy person I do what I can to live a life of sustainability rather than opulence.

  • can you plz show us how did you make the action plz

  • well then u want us to bye it we just want help with the other photoshop..:[

    ima cry noww

  • I'm not sure why you're crying. Photoshop has never been free but my tutorials to show how to use it are free. I don't sell Photoshop, you buy that from Adobe. I sell Actions that work in Photoshop, you buy those from my Web site. I also have some free ones at the bottom of the Products page on my Website. Don't know what u mean by "other photoshop"

  • none of this is on photoshop

  • It's all in the professional version of Photoshop, not Photoshop Elements. Everything I do in this series, except for the Powder, is all in Photoshop when you buy it.

  • how do u do that on photo shop? because i have one i have no idea how to use it

  • I feel so ripped off watching you with your fancy ps when I'm stuck with like 7.0 or something, it's so shit.

  • If you have the full blown version of the real Photoshop 7, don't despair--that is a great older version...but if you are talking about having Photoshop Elements 7, well then you are limited.

  • I'm pretty sure it's the proper PS 7, but still it's nowhere near as good as your version =(

  • Everything done in this series can be done in Photo Shop 7. There really is no difference. The interface may look a tiny bit different, but ALL the same functions and palettes are in PS7. I know because I have kept that version on another computer for testing my actions for backward compatibility.

  • wheres her eyebrows?

  • Red heads have very light eyebrows, if you watch the rest of the series you'll see how we fix this.

  • o. ok. thanx. is that u?

  • no..it's one of my daughter, though.

  • where can u download this version of photoshop 4 free?

  • do we have to download the powder???

  • No, you don't have to download the powder! This tutorial series is much more in depth on other aspects of the makeover. The Powder is just one small step.

  • i have cs3 and i cant find it anywhere! i really like how u did it. some people just use the blur to do it and it looks too fake. can u please help me where i can find it? thanks

  • I didn't mean to imply the Powder was already in Photoshop. It's not. It's a product I sell on my Web site that you load into Photoshop. I was just saying, you don't have to use it and if you don't own it you can't use it but the series teaches some very valuable techniques for makeovers and is very informative for use of tools and other things.

  • You Can actually download photoshop

  • oh ok. so when we download from it, do we have to pay u? j/w. haha i really like it! it's very easy to work with. please let me know

  • My handle is photoshopmama, but that doesn't mean I gave birth to Adobe Photoshop! Smile!

I did not write the program...I only created the "add ons" like the actions I make for use with the Program. You purchase the program from Adobe and purchase Mama's Actions from me.

  • Could you let me know what program you used

  • How do I download this picture from your website? Before you tell me I don't wish to become a member.

  • I personally think that your voice is awesome! It like is a smooth voice, like really easy to listen to. This was super cool!!!! Thanks for posting it!

  • thanks..!!! i do alot of photoshopping

i used photoimpression4 but i decided to use gimp

    their both good

  • couldn't really follow your steps..

  • or better to say.. I would have liked to have seen how you created that "powder" thing... wanna do it on my own and not download something... I watch those films to actually learn how to do it and not that you do the hard work for me...

  • If you find these steps hard to follow, you'd never be able to follow steps I used to create my Powders....and that's why I save you the trouble by creating the Action for it. Smile!

  • No choice there-- it's the only voice I have and your comment doesn't help me in any way--in fact it is annoying. I take a lot of time to create these and they have helped many people, how many people have you helped today?

  • Great tutorial, and l love the action too!

    5*.

  • she needs some eybrows...

  • and she get them! This is a series and this is only the first part.

  • air brush in spanish is cepillo de aire or Aerógrafo

  • Gracias!

  • I'm not sure how you say Air Brush in Spanish.

  • If you mean the version of Photoshop used in the vid, it's CS3

  • what version is this?

  • Just wondering does the powder just work with her type skin tone or with any type of skin tone. I would like to know just in case I would like to purchase it.

  • It works with all skin types and color. If you continue to watch vids from my glamor retouching playlist you will also see it applied to our various African-American clients.

  • I love the tutorial, it's great!

  • where could i download an photoshop??

  • You can't download a non-crappy version of it anywhere....you have to buy it and it's ridiculously expensive.

  • not really, theres something called a keygen you download sepratly, its about 87 kb it has many seirals and actaction keys for many programs, i hqave many cracks and keyens ^^

  • Wut? ofc u can download good versions of Photoshop.. Pirate copy? ?

  • What Wacom tablet do you use?

  • Wacom Intuos 2 (6x8)

  • what did u record it w/

  • Camtasia Studio5 by Techsmith

  • that programm is so good i also use camtasia. ^^

  • I am using Photoshop 7.0 and have one valid question.DoI have to add some extra plug ins and effects to make my Photoshop better?Which Photo is the best?

  • yes, you have too.

  • That's a personal choice. I don't have any 3rd part plug ins in my Photoshop but I do have my own Actions which go into the Presets folder. There's a difference between a plug in and an Action.

  • yah... i just said he has to download plug-ins for his photoshop if he wants more effects . i would love to purchase this action too. anyways thank you. Your videos rock.

  • can you make small tutorial about how to set up some things?thank you.

  • Very impressive work!!

  • affs povo vai pro youtube em ingles pq vcs veim chereta aqui

  • how do you put an pic on photoshop because when we do it , it dent work what shod we do
