  • Calum MacPhee, Nanny MacPhee or whatever your jaysus-name is, Hurling is NOT just for "Fenians", ye clown. Gaelic Footballs premier trophy is named after a Protestant, Sam Maguire. The founder of the Gaelic League and Irelands FIRST President, a Protestant, Douglas Hyde. The father of Irish Republicanism, a Protestant, Theobald Wolfe Tone...Robert Emmet, Henry Grattan...etc etc etc.,...so WHAT are ye shiting on-about, man???

  • ana cúl ar fád

  • took the words right out of my mouth.

  • I know plenty of people that call themselves Northern Irish first, then British, then Irish.

Who cares you are all part of the British Isles so are all British anyway. ;). wheres troll face?

  • unbelievable tekkers

  • Ronald Ross - Complete Legend!

  • extremely cool. badass goal.

  • The commentary's in Scots Gaelic

  • Woohoo Amazin Goal ;)

    Go KINGUSSIE :D xx

  • Would Shinty be very big in Scotland? Hurling and particularly Gaelic Football are huge here like, and im just wondering if its similar over in Scotland with Shinty?

  • cmon newtonmore

    wat a goal!!!:)

  • Nice, im a protestant livin in ballymena, but id love to give shinty or hurling a go.

  • @ConCon75, Shinty isnt a catholic game, its just a scottish game played by both catholics and prodestants, i am prodestant and i hav played shinty since i was 9.

  • @CalumMacPhee1993 I realise that but shinty is nearly non existant in ulster and the GAA still isnt very protestant friendly, im not a practicing christian but i what you could consider a hun lol

  • @ConCon75 Haha lisen mate im a die hard prod aswell just sayin shinty has nuthin to do wi religeon, unlike hurley thats just for fenians :L

  • @CalumMacPhee1993 hahaha aye, ill probably have a go if i end up back in scotland next year, btw where do you live? cause its only really played in the highlands and islands isnt it?

  • @ConCon75 I live in Oban, but they've started playing it in Glasgow quite alot lately too.

  • @CalumMacPhee1993 And how is hurling just for "Fenians"? I know protestants that play both hurling and football with my GAA club. The GAA aren't one bit sectarian. Now I know that there are elements within the GAA that might be, but if that's your attitude then I'm afraid it is you that's the sectarian one.

  • @ConCon75

Not too sure if this is true but one of the players in the County down hurling squad is a protestant, so, you wont be alone,

  • @ConCon75 Why dont you man? Loads of non Catholics play inter-count every year. whats the big deal its a gaelic sport not a catholic sport. Gaelic means anything culturally Gaelic in Scotland or Ireland. Loads of protestants in Ireland are Gaels Irish or Scot decent regardless of religion. The All Ireland Football cup is named after the protestant Sam Maguire. We are all Irish/Northern Irish/Gaelic or whatever you consider yourself. fuck the haters living in the past.

  • @ColossalCollapse once the GAA stops pretending there is a United Ireland then I will play...

  • @ConCon75 You'll be waiting a long time! there is a united Ireland physically and culturally the same as Unionists link themselves to the rest of Britain politically and culturarlly nationalists in the 6 counties are going to link themselves to the rest of Ireland cos they regard themselves Irish. The GAA is a 32 county organisation because gaelic games has no boundries in this country. I bet you dont even know what the tricoler stands for g'way and play some shinty.

  • @ColossalCollapse shut the fuck up ye bigoted wee goat..

  • what, shinty or hockey is?

    im presuming you meant hockey

  • This is why shinty is better than hockey!!!

Sucks that it's only really played by students outside the Highlands :(

  • i met ronald (H) thats how cool i am and he gave me a camman. cause i played for u 17 team

  • he turned up our training about 5/6 years ago and was havin a hit around then he went to the boot of his car whipped out the cammanchd cup!

  • wat a goal that was :o

  • great goal!

  • I understood 90% of the commentator. Im from the Gaeltacht in Conamara. That was some goal your man scored.

  • That was a belter!

  • hurling is better lol

  • wow shinty's a sport...lol i thought it was a person for awhile...looks like fun =D
