  • It will be good far longer than a year!!

  • @snaps81625 Yeah, understood that it will be good longer than a year, but it won't last that long around here. I like putting foods away on a regular basis and doing a first in first out consumption to keep my stuff rotated. I don't have a year's supply set aside yet, so this beef and veggie stew will be gone in a few months.

  • @therealvirginiawind Well keep prepping, don't stop.. we're all going to need it! God Bless!

  • @snaps81625 Prepping is a term that brings us together, but I'd like to see folks moving more towards doing this kind of thing as a lifestyle. It's cheaper, and more healthy than buying boxed foods.

  • @therealvirginiawind From a small child I have heard about foodstorage, being LDS I was taught at a young age about being prepared.. as a young woman I became interested in the things our ancestors did to survive.. I learned many things and I am very well prepared, but every motn I just add more.. every month.. its a way of life. God Bless!

  • @snaps81625 Yes it is a way of life. My mother was born in the great depression and she's been buying things on sale and putting them away for as long as I can remember. She also uses the food on a regular basis, but at any given time I think she has enough food to last for several months if not longer. It's how she's lived all her life. I know that many of her generation do the same thing, and I think we could do well to follow their example.

  • Good video.

  • @katzcradul Thanks katzcradul!

  • Agree, Carrots, Onions and Celery are a delicious combination and a great foundation. Thanks for posting.

  • @bowlmeoverva There's room for tweaking on the carrots onions and celery mix, but starting with that idea you really can't go wrong.

  • Very nice video. Even better hat! Yep, the Ball/Bernardin mystery was solved awhile ago. Thank you! That recipe is a very good and versatile one. I have made it myself. Then I pop the lid and play with what I want the final outcome to be. I am glad you have enjoyed it as well. Thanks again!

  • @JaxRL Thanks for the nice feedback my friend. I'm glad to see you happy and doing well with your rambunctious 4 footed friend.

  • Thank you for sharing that my friend,God bless ya!

  • @johnboh51 Thanks for the nice words. I hope in some way I help my video helped you notice something you might have not seen before.

  • Nice Video...and nice hat!

  • @Thesmalltowngardener Love my hats, and especially this one. There's actually an entire book written on these. I had it once, but gave it away. The origin of them has something to do with providing a helmet for woodsmen.

  • @Thesmalltowngardener I do enjoy a nice hat, and the one in this video is one of my favorites.

    Thanks for your comments.
