From this video, I'm starting to see some examples of racial tactics in EVE. Amarr ships are well suited to hitting the taget at optimal range with lasers and Minmatar like to get up close while under artillery cover so they can cut you up with autocannons and rockets. Caldari and Gallente have very well rounded tactics, capable of engaging at range with drones or railguns, then getting close in with torpedoes, missles, or blasters.
