Clearly you have NEVER played Devil May Cry.

But saying that a 30 FPS hack'n slash game that can take only 4~5 enemies per screen looks better than a 60 FPS hack'n slash that is still reputable as the best HNS ever made looks like trolling to me. This is actually a CTRL + C & CTRL + V of Devil May Cry 2, with added elements of Heavenly Sword. There is nothing that is a "bit of Bayonetta" in this game.

Only problems I have with this is this is that slow mo kill in the middle of fighting and and that you can only be in devil trigger (as far as I know) the longer you make combos in the air. I actually think this may be good. Oh and where is the health bar because I also don't regenerating health either.

What are you talking about? DMC3 was much a prequel. It explained the story between Dante and Vergil, and how he finally came to accept who he is, and his "Devil" origins, hence the subtitle "Dante's Awakening". Also, you do not know what "prequel" means otherwise you would not have made such a foolish comment.

A prequel does not mean "an origin story". A prequel is a story that takes place any time before the previously established story. The issues regarding Sparda, Eva, and Vergil were all explained in the game's character bios, and through subtext. There was no need for a prequel showing them as children. He was not "normal Dante", he was a self-loathing, care-free demon hunter. He learned to value his origins which in fact made him stronger. You've clearly missed all of this.

I agree with the fact that the gameplay is sluggish, as is the framerate. I am not fond of this new Dante, but mainly because that pompous prick Tameem designed Dante to look like himself. The backdrop of this game looks like DMC2, which sucks. Also, Ninja Theory's games suck. These facts are what make me have NO interest in this game. Aside from this, we do not need a prequel, and this game is not a prequel. This is a reboot.

It went from a not too serious, crazy, fast-paced brawler, into a slow paced, over serious, and gritty game. Although it kinda stinks to see the white hair go, the look is alright, but the moment they shoved a scowl and a cigarette in his mouth I practically screamed "NO". It's easy to make a badass if you add a cigarette.

Hmm...Angel/Demon powers, alternate limbo reality where normal people look like ghosts, sword that practically mimics the Devilbringer, cinematic camera for finishing moves.....absolutely no sense of originality. I see only a mimicry of DMC with some new mechanics borrowed from other games. Nothing about this seems original or revolutionary. He seems slower. Enemies look piss poor in design and behavior. Adrenaline mode is a ridiculous cop out on traditional Dante....smh

Im a fan of dmc thats why i KNOW that A number is worth nothing in the title, it only points out that its the next game thats all, Devil May Cry 3 is THE prequel of the franchise and it has a 3 in it.
Ninja Theory has said many different things because they are mediocre at their jobs, but one thing is for sure, its not canon in the original DMC story.
Want evidence? Dante is half angel half demon in this game instead of half human half demon.

You know, one of the reasons why Kamiya made Dante's coat red was so that he could be easily identifiable among enemies. But black is cool and edgy today, so now you can confuse him with enemies--but wait, you won't be looking at the gameplay because they sacrificed that for improving the backgrounds!

Only problems I have with this is this is that slow mo kill in the middle of fighting and and that you can only be in devil trigger (as far as I know) the longer you make combos in the air. I actually think this may be good. Oh and where is the health bar because I also don't regenerating health either.

The game play is slow and clunky. 30FPS is unacceptable for a game ment to be fast paced. The backgrounds are cool and think it's cool to use music for intensity, but everything else is just WRONG. You cannot say in good faith that this angst mother fucker is Dante. Dante was cocky and confident. Not a generic angry character. And why the flying fuck do we need another prequel?!

What are you talking about? DMC3 was much a prequel. It explained the story between Dante and Vergil, and how he finally came to accept who he is, and his "Devil" origins, hence the subtitle "Dante's Awakening". Also, you do not know what "prequel" means otherwise you would not have made such a foolish comment.

A prequel does not mean "an origin story". A prequel is a story that takes place any time before the previously established story. The issues regarding Sparda, Eva, and Vergil were all explained in the game's character bios, and through subtext. There was no need for a prequel showing them as children. He was not "normal Dante", he was a self-loathing, care-free demon hunter. He learned to value his origins which in fact made him stronger. You've clearly missed all of this.

I agree with the fact that the gameplay is sluggish, as is the framerate. I am not fond of this new Dante, but mainly because that pompous prick Tameem designed Dante to look like himself. The backdrop of this game looks like DMC2, which sucks. Also, Ninja Theory's games suck. These facts are what make me have NO interest in this game. Aside from this, we do not need a prequel, and this game is not a prequel. This is a reboot.

@AlwaysReviewCentre You're missing the point here. The core gameplay has changed, the character has changed, even the action has changed. It went from a not too serious, crazy, fast-paced brawler, into a slow paced, over serious, and gritty game. Although it kinda stinks to see the white hair go, the look is alright, but the moment they shoved a scowl and a cigarette in his mouth I practically screamed "NO". It's easy to make a badass if you add a cigarette.
