What does the guy want us to hear about the snare? Every snare sounds like that once you reach up and disengage the snares on the bottom OR snare head.

Go to any music store and ask the sales dude to let you try out a snare drum.

I disagree every snare has a different tone whether tuned high pitched or low pitched, if that wasn't the case why is there so many different type of snares?
