Read all the Bible not just some of it. Until a person can truly find Jesus Christ he is blinded. When it says to be Baptized in the the name of the father son holy ghost there not looking at it deeply with thought. First of all there is no s on the end of name so there for it is referring to one person or Heavenly Father. Jesus is the Father Jesus is the son Jesus is the Holy Spirit. Plain and simple it does not take a rocket science to figure this out.

There is all the evidence in the world that Jesus is God it says it all over the Bible time after time.Jesus is Lord, God our Lord, come on how much more you need. Says you have to be baptized and have the Holy Ghost in order to go to heaven. Holy Ghost is speaking to God our Jesus. Why in the world would you not want that experience. If you ask me some people are just happy with being luke warm about the whole idea and they can just keep fooling them self.

@higherground2025 I've seen many people seek after the Holy Spirit for different amounts of time. Praise be to God, they eventally received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. To my understanding, there are a few reasons why one might not receive the Holy Ghost. First you must know what it is, you must have the knowledge of something in order to want or desire it. 2ndly, You must want it! 3rdly, you must truly repent for all your sins! You must let go of all gruges and forgive people who have hurt u.

God calls us to salvation.We don't desire salvation unless God places that desire in our heart. You are placing the emphasis on human effort, not the author and finisher of our faith.

Remember, the things of the early and real church such as (being spirit filled with tongues, miracles, prophecy, healings...) was dismissed by the new 300AD political, influential, rich and dignified people who took over the church (the Catholics) during the time of Constantine in the Roman Empire. These true gifts were therefore lost by the millions of new mainstream converts. But there were small pockets of true churches that kept the true original faith of the Apostoles.

Dr. Bernard keeps saying that salvation is a process, which means that it is our works,or our effort, that "completes the process". This is a "works salvation", which denies the sufficiency of Christ, and His atonement on our behalf. Scary.

@88momart You make such a good point. The ,process' of salvation is simply believing on the Lord. Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. It is simply believe in Christ, that God raised him from the dead. We are saved by grace through faith. It is all about the cross, that he sacrificed himself to pay the price for us. You cannot receive a free gift through a process, you can only receive it. If tongues were necessary to be saved, at least ONCE the bible would say this.

@higherground2050 I'm not sure. It also took the saints in Acts 8 a while to recieve the Spirit of God. On the other hand, other persons just walk into a service for the first time and recieve it. The important thing is that God wants us to know when we recieve this precious gift. That's why Paul asked believers in Acts 8 "Have ye recieved the Holy Ghost since ye believe?". @nottobigdudeguy Thanks Notto. I appreciate your feedback. I personally know strong true holy living believers seeking the Holy Ghost for YEARS before they got it. But why don't they get it instantly when they believe since it is so important to have it to go to heaven. What if they die before they get it? This is a mystery that the Pentecostal and Apostolic church should address. I am of the opinion our Faith saves us but the Holy Ghost empowers us. Blessings to you too brother
