I think banning qat in Yemen would only cause more Yemenies to turn to far more dangerous drugs. I can care less about qat but in my opinion they're better off keeping the qat than subsituting it for other stronger drugs. Besides, when you compare qat with other harsher drugs it is far more milder than those and far less addictive. Qat is not addictive. It's habitual, meaning it's done repeatly out of force of habit and doesn't really have you fiening like crack, heroine, cocaine, etc.
