omg so I'm a volunteer at Lakewood and today was the best. I was asked to go to this one place in lakewood which I won't give location cuz of safety reasons and respect to Lakewood, but omg I actually ended up in this very studio and I was in total awe, one of the best two minutes of my life. Israel has inspired me to learn how to play the guitar and turn my spiritual poetry into songs. What a gift he has and what an anointing. He was truly sent by God, but He has truly suffered for His anointing, at the hands of those closest to him--I wonder who else had to suffer like that???

I was watching a interview on the sunday morning show called "Lift Every Voice" where Israel talked about meeting his mother's father for the first time. He said at the age of 7 he met his grandfather and just like the other grand kids he tried to jump onto his grandpa's lap, but to his surprise he was shoved backwards unto his back by his grandfather because his grandfather did not approve of his mixed race. That day he realized he was different and that day changed his life.
