  • AFAIK, this guy has Japanese citizenship so he is a jap, and the enemy of USA people.

  • Dirty ethnocentric retarded yankee monkeys are always trouble makers

  • Japs are trouble maakers on Earth ALL THE TIME man~~~~~~

  • This is the Japanese law. If u not fallow, u will go to jail. so stop calling Kids mother as kidnapper and don't came Japan to make trouble. everything that common in US is no common in world. remember u Americans r not king of world. respect other Country own way

  • Great father! Remember don't be afraid to get a lot of present Foreigners to help you put pressure on the local area

  • A 50-year-old woman who married an American man in Japan subsequently divorced him in 1998 because he made no financial contribution to their living expenses. He gave up custody rights to their two children, aged 2 and 5 at the time, on the grounds that they would be raised in Japan. However, the man later took the children to the United States without her permission. The woman felt dismayed, because she "had taken care of them 90 percent of the time."

    (The Asahi Shimbun Japanese newspaper)

  • If you intend to take flight back to Japan because of violence from your husband, first seek protection from the local police and women's shelters, and guidance from local specialists. They can also help you to secure evidence and provide necessary advice."

    (The Asahi Shimbun Japanese newspaper)

  • Children caught in international tug-of-war as Japan hesitates to ratify Hague Convention. 2011/03/04(The Asahi Shimbun Japanese newspaper)

Lawyer Mikiko Otani, an expert on international law, gives the following advice: "When you live overseas as a foreigner, you are inevitably in a weak position because of the differences in language and each country's systems. I'd like people to make themselves aware of the differences with Japan, and to find

    information from the country itself.

  • Pathetic yankee LOL

  • @hiroyoa me speak small english word to you:

wife = kidnapper. you = not educated = no school.

World have many culture. Japan culture is not only culture. Japan Culture is not best culture. Japan sell Child Pornography.

  • @Enders119 The fact you generalised an entire country as being of a paedophilic nature actually brings YOUR level of education to question.

  • @Hokit Yeah, but at least my country does something to protect our children. I'm not raising kids in a country where it is legal to sell child pornography. Hell, you can get it off of amazon.JP if you know how to write it in Japanese.

  • It seems we cant trust women now no matter where they come from.... those women should go to jail not him

  • Come see the paradise of 21st century racism right here in old Nippon diba!

  • If japan doesnt have a backward, inhuman and infamous family law and discriminated court system, Mr. Savoie wont go divorce in US, but in here.. The truth is, once he divorce in japan, he WILL have 0 access right to kids, and the kids will NOT have right to see their loving dad in the rest of their lives or after 20.. But by 20, kids are already told their father abandoned them and dont love them. Do you expect kids are healthy? NO..Mr.Savoie is right but his wife is selfish cold-blooed animal

  • @kenjune777 I am glad you know what a healthy family is.

You see, even though I am against divorce, I believe children should have the right to see both parents if they want.

  • Mr.Savoie said right...

The divorce doesnt have to be a tragedy unless parents made that way...

Yes they lived in japan for 8 years.. and for some reason (regardless of any reason, ppl are free to marry and divorce, right? but he doesnt want to convert to a pure japanese, that is why japanese family dont like. My case is also this way. they need a robot, not a thinking human. Anything different from theirs, they dump.).

  • They live in Japan for 8 years, even the children born and raise on the land of Japan!

According to News, Christopher had new wife named Amy Savoie.

What the hell Christopher Savoie is doing, anyway? He divored Noriko Savoie In USA? I suspected Christopher Savoie was planning to take the children from Noriko Savioe's Japan legalized custody, because Japan's law does not apply on USA! I hope Noriko Savioe keep her children.

By the way, I'm an American living in USA.

  • You MF, jap axx.. war and human right criminals.

  • >Father, kids in custody case Japanese citizens, officials say (CNN)

"The Awful Truth" (Michael Moore) LOL

    Warai ga tomaranai (^_^)

  • the basterd had it coming, and im glad for what he got

  • An American man was prisioned for 7 yrs in Japan for trying to see his daughter. An American Grandmother was put in jail for 10 days for trying to see her Grandchild.

Japan is responsible for 22% of the worlds kidnappings.

Please search - Patrick Braden - on YouTube for more info on this matter.

  • Well I most certainly will likely get a negative on the last comment. Although I don't feel the am completely in the wrong . Listen Japan I think has a lot to offer the world. It is really sad they have such hatred of all things non Japanese. This might seem harmless but these attitudes only spur more hatred and distrust of one another. Thinking kidnapping kids is funny just shows how sick of a society Japan has become. Which makes them a danger to everyone including themselves.

  • @BlazinNSoul It amazes me that there are so many people quick to form an opinion based on just a few articles or comments they came across. It's immature and it's incredibly lazy. Each society (especially those in the scale of Japan's) is so large and complex, it'll take years and mountains of intense studies to comprehend even just a FRACTION of them. So yes, you're COMPLETELY "in the wrong" for passing judgment on 127 MILLION people.

  • The guys an asshole!!

  • International divorce is just a tragic one. Who gets to decide where the kids should live?

If one wants to live in her country with kids , and the other wants to live in his country with kids, what can you do?

Who can be the best judge? Her country's judge, or his country's judge? Is a joint custody really possible for international couples?

  • In the past 10 yrs 20,000 children have been abducted from America and brought to Japan by their Japanese mothers.

I have talked to a lot of Japanese and read many Japanese articles regarding this matter, the response I got is most Japanese think it's funny, support the mothers 100% or make excuses for her behavior and are generally happy to stick it to America (basically any country apart from Japan).

I'd hate to imagine the total number of children worldwide abducted and brought to Japan.

  • I agree with macsmus01. Why the hell are we allays with this country? Japan still hasn't gotten over the fact it lost the war. Get over it and more on. It's xenophobic attitudes are eventually going to be it's downfall if things don't change. I guess I should stop reading these posts as to try to maintain whatever little respect I still have for Japan that's left. As they certainly have no respect of us. Of coarse this is expected of a country that always sees it's self as the victim.

  • Criss and Amy took the kids from the Mother, I don't care if she did break the law, their both complete 'a-holes'!! I hope he spend the full five years in jail over their, the guy a moron.

  • I would do the same thing, if I were her. If mother scared that the father will hurt their kids..So it's better to run and take the kids..Were NOT sure if it was her fault or her ex-husband. Maybe she forced to take the kids away..Maybe the ex-husband did something wrong..We don't know for sure, so we should stop judging her.

  • Jun 15th 2008, Noriko and Children moved to the US

Next day, Jun 16th 2008, CS filed a divorce

(Amy also filed divorce almost the same time)

Jan 2009, CS and Noriko's divorce was finalized

Feb 2009, CS and Amy married immediately

    ---- All Planned ----

CS is a Japanese citizen and he still haven't filed the divorce in Japan so they are still married.

Obtaining Japanese citizenship is giving up the US citizenship because Japan does not allow dual citizenship.

  • Christopher Savoie is a Rhode Island Native

CS and Amy met when they were in RI

Amy married and moved to Tennessee with her ex-husband

199? CS moved to Japan and married to Noriko

2001-2008 CS established a business in Tokyo

2005?, CS got Japanese citizenship (he is a Japanese citizen)

Jan 2008, CS and his business suddenly moved to Tennessee (not RI) and started living with Amy

CS told Noriko that he want to start over their marriage and asked her to come to the US

  • The mother is just being bitter, malicious, and childish. Her words to the court - "I think the kids will be happy if I'm happy." How conceited is that!

If she took the kids away because she suspected that they were being abused by their father and/or new wife and the police would not do anything about, then she did the right thing, but that is not the case.

  • why did he file for divorce the minute they set foot in america knowing fully well the americans would support him. That was wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • I agree but I am not saying that the father is innocent here. I am saying that it is wrong for the mother to stoop to his level by taking the kids away from him in order to get back at him. Bottomline: The children should be the ones to decide where they want to live. The parents could have work out a deal where the children could have spend the school year with their mother and their vacations with their father or vice versa.

  • Both parents are wrong. They are playing a game of "keep away" with children and that is not right. The father is a tool for tricking the mother the way he did and perhaps this is karma's way at getting back at him but why must the children also suffer?

On a side note, is it just to deny a parent's access to his/her children because he/she cheated on the other parent? If that was the case, there would a lot of children out there not knowing BOTH their parents.

  • Are u joking with me how can u set a deal with a man who tried to kidnapp the kids and run straight to the american embassy where they japanese would have no power over him. He is most likely an irrational thinking man and she knew there would be no argueing with him. Not to mention the americans would be quick to hand the child over to him.

  • I was not saying that you can set a deal with him. I was just stating what they "could" have done differenty before they decided to play a game of "keep away" with children.

  • He decided to ditch his Japanese family for his college sweetheart in America. He move to America, lure his wife and children to America with hope of reconciliation and sue for divorce on her arrival so he can trap three of them in America. In two years time, the ex wife visa, granted on the basis of the marriage, will run out and she will be kicked out. The the guy can have all kids for himself.

If this shit happen to me, I would be bitter and malicious to this prick too.

  • Mrs. Savoie wanted divorce when they where in Japan, they moved here and then he wanted the divorce. It was shitty yes BUT if he let it happen in Japan, the mother almost all the time gets custody and the man is typically not allowed visitation. So yeah, if I were him, I would have done the same shit, Japan is fucked up and so are you because you would put your selfish needs before your children's.

At least she here she still got visitation and the kids still got to see both parents.

  • If this is a American marriage where the husband decided to ditch his wife to marry his Japanese mistress in Japan, would the court in America force the American and kids to move to Japan for the husband's convenience?

In this circumstance, he shouldn't have had custody whether it is in America or Japan.

  • What does that have to do with this?

She broke the laws here in the U.S, he didn't. She kidnapped, he didn't until forced to. You just dislike him because he "cheated". Guess what hunny, his wife wanted a divorce and he gave it to her, but he made sure when he did he could still see his children.

Him cheating is between him and his wife, not him and the children. You fuckers like to put yourselves before the children and that is ok, they will hate her for not letting them know their father.

  • DM, you are right.. i and many of foreign fathers are fighting for the kids.. with cruel brutal japanese cold-blood assholes here.. they are lowest life.. and have no feeling , not alone love.. they even dont have the feeling of love for kids .. like animal does.... jap low life.

  • hey jap, do you know kabakura? student aid-sex? and hentai ppl in japan? they are all over here.. japs... your men always work with low efficiency , and then in the name of zengyou.. but hang out drinking with whose whores and prostitutes.. and then go back home.. live sexless life with wife and kids.. they never talk to kids.. and just a pay check of the family... but almost many of them have no love and sex with wife.. but only live with famly for the fear of losing kids. jap low life.

  • DMalefant1. yes. i m a canadian currently in japan.. you said all right.. the jap are fucked up and they are not human being.. that is why they dont have human being feeling and sympath to the kids.. they are lowest life on this planet.. and any animals are more loving than them. jap asshole

  • DMalenfant1, you are right.. i was regret not dump my bipolar, suicide attempting wife in canada, and now I lost my 2 kids permanently. I m along with other foreign fathers and few japanese left behind fathers are fighting..

  • Wow cupwithhandles it is OK to break Us Federal law? If you truly believe that you are a complete idiot. Japan expects us to respect their laws. So shouldn't the same apply here as well? What if this was a more serious crime like rape, murder or even terrorism? This is just dangerous thinking however you look at it. I would like to think of Japan as an ally but now not so sure? If they ever expects to have better relations with Us this is something they need to address.

  • Savoie is a naturalized Japanese, and legally they were never divorced in Japan. So there is no room for American law to come to effect. This is a complete domestic issue.

  • @hiroyoa bla bla ummm question how much USA give the JP $ after 2 ww? if you know then just shut da fuck up ... if not go read ......

  • @hiroyoa me speak small english word to you:

wife = kidnapper. you = not educated = no school.

  • Kids aren't bargaining chips and they shouldn't be used for their personal agenda to "get back" at the spouse. eg: Im doing X coz you did Y.

Parents should grow up and set their own benefits and emotional dramas aside. Yea, life is full of suck getting mistreated by ahole husband but he paid a hefty amount of cash for the divorce that will easily get her a home in the US and in Japan and then some. Why not use that money to start over?

Grats, both parents are now criminals.

  • Custody battles between Japanese mothers and foreign husbands are not uncommon in Japan, which has not yet signed the 1980 Hague Convention on International Child Abduction. The aim of the convention is to standardize laws to ensure custody decisions can be made by the appropriate courts and to preserve access rights for both parents.

Japan has argued that refusing to sign the Hague Convention has helped shield Japanese women and their children from abusive foreign husbands. (racist f**ks)

  • I am so tired of these counties doing what ever they want to U.S. citizens.

I was in the Navy and before every port we pulled into, we would be told "You break their laws, you face their courts, go through their punishment and we will leave you here." Well this woman broke the law here in the U.S first, Japan should honor our system too.

  • Comment removed

  • Our system imprisons children? You speak lies and think kidnapping is ok. Why should we not nuke your shit islands.

  • In most countries, an American military break domestic law, he will claim he was on duty, then he will face American military court which just give a slap on the wrist.

  • Bullshit

  • It is like a reversed gender scenario of an Iranian man who kidnapped his wife and daughter and basically held them captive in Iran.

  • Im one of the hundreds of US Citizen Fathers that are going through this problem, last year a California Court gave my childs passport to the mother and she took my child to the Philippines which I have not seen since, I just spent 52 days in the Philippines with hope to get to see my child and the mother took my child and went into hiding.
