The reason we are fighting terrorism so agressively is because it is good political business. You can act like you are doing something just by flapping your jaws. A loyal hierarchy of thugs can be built up for keeping the public in line as the laws and enforcement and justice systems have more and more power to convict completely on the sayso of relative status level. He avoids and avoids the question of HOW are you and the other "progressives" ever going to interject your talking points into the mainstream media?

I am so tired of Senate Democrats trotting out the "without 60 votes we can't break a filibuster" crap.

First, they ALWAYS demur whenever the Republicans even HINT they might consider filibustering.

Second, the Democrats have used that excuse even when they were the ones who should have been filibustering. They KNOW the Republicans also don't have the 60 votes needed to break a filibuster, but (out of some warped sense of civility?) the Democrats won't be so rude as to filibuster.

The 60 Votes is to break a filibuster. Republicans can and will talk the hell out of nothing in a fillibuster as history shows.

Real democrats" want to Actually DO something in congress these coming 4 years rather then fight for years on the same issue due to stretched out filibusters or unaccpetable revisions and giving in.

Democrats picked up more seats, but they have NEVER been in control of congress because some of these "democrats" are just republicans who are pro choice or something.

You don't need 60 votes. 49-51 would defeat these Anti-Constitution. At least the public can't say the democrats laid down, if that happened. Most these Anti-Constitution policies that are passing, are doing so by LARGE majorities. i.e. 80%+ for it.
