I was wondering how you'd handle the tadpoles when they spawn from the eggs? I heard that red eyes may drown in water levels taller than they are.

there are way too many variables to be able to answer that question accurately. It depends and where you get the frog, the type and size of enclosure, cage furniture, etc.

Most Reptile shops will stock them, but will not always have them in stock. They should cost around £35 which I think is about $50 (sorry I don't know which currency you are :P)

yes they are....i got 2 clusters of eggs from them and now have approx. 50 tadpoles...i have 3 females and 5 males

they are definitely not recomended for beginners...they can stress easily...they are a "look only" frog...not good to handle them. do a google search and you will find a ton of information on their care.

depends on the size difference...eventually the white's will get big enough to eat your red eye....i've lost a few green tree frogs to my dumpy's....i wouldm't recomend it.

thanks! yes, they actively hunt for their food. although sometimes they get lazy and wait for the cricket to come to them. :)

i have 2 pairs right now. i plan on getting at least 4 or 5 more in the spring. i did have 7, but the last 3 i purchased at a reptile show didn't survive the 2 week quarentine period!  hopefully i have better luck next time.

can u put 4 medium-sized red eyes in a exo terra 18"x18"x24" tank? in centimeters it would be 45x45x60.

yeah that should be fine...the thing that you need to remember is that the females are much bigger than males...so if you plan on breeding them, the more males the merrier! just don't overcroud the enclosure or you can stress them out. if you know the sex of the frogs, i would go with 1 female and 3 or 4 males.
