Well, no. I can take it. The problem with this show is that it is just patently UN-funny. No one can say what funny is I know, but I know not funny when I see it. Another thing I don't understand is what made fox think it needed a con "counter" to Jon Stewart? The only people that could think that The Daily Show doesn't discriminate are those that would never watch because they've been told it's biased. This show reminds me of Bruno Kirby's character in Good Morning Vietnam.

First, humor is subjective. One mans trash is anothers masterpiece. Second, I used to watch the Daily Show a while ago, but stopped watching it because I got tired of the hateful misinformation Jon Steward was putting out. Face it, The Daily Show and the Colbert Report have small, nitche audiances, which is true of many shows on t.v nowadays. BTW, I am a big Family Guy fan and love the satire in it, even though I disagree with it.

I really hate how when everyone uses the terms "conservatives" and "liberals," they're only talking about partisan viewpoints. It's sad that people are so uneducated about government and public policy that they assume their obsession with homos and abortion constitutes a valid political ideology. Both Democrats and Republicans are considerably liberal, in so far as they both promote lots and lots and lots of government interference in at least some sector of public life.

It's easy to make fun of who's in power. It just so happened that the Republicans are in power, and were dominant in power for most of the Daily Show's run, so they face satire more often than not.
Now the Democrats do get made fun of for being indecisive, inept, etc. But they weren't a major point in politics because they were a minority until last November. So why waste time making fun of them?
