The Chinese language is composed of 56 different dialects, most prominent are Mandarin and Cantonese. People assume Chinese as just being Mandarin because the government gave up preserving 55 other dialect and their cultures all together, said that every one needs to know mandarin Chinese, and so other dialects are damned to being lost. So Mandarin is really the "official" dialect, even though Cantonese is closer to Classical Chinese compared to the Mandarin dialect.

Disney China doesn't really exist and the Disneylands in China and Hong Kong are mostly abandoned because we have better and more fun amusement parks. Just so I don't get flamed or anything I am an American citizen and I visited there awhile. Literally the parks were completely abandoned except for the white people that come visit.
