I like Buffy because she usually knows when to be honest, so it's a bit odd that Buffy would do that to Spike; she felt morally corrupted after being resurrected and treated him pretty bad, but I think she should have used her better judgement and given Spike a well earned honest final farewell. Penny for your thoughts :)

@purplepenguin91 just because spike says he doesn't believe her doesn't mean she was lying. he spent years convincing himself she'd never love him. joss whedon even said she was in love with him, so yea, she meant it and I think he knew it. it was just his knee jerk reaction to think she could never love him.

I just wish the season would have ended differently; really wanted it to work out with Buffy and Spike. The fact that she lied to him right before he dies is pretty cruel, I just think it should have been a sincere goodbye.

u know thats what i thought at first too, & believe me, im not buffy's biggest fan, i never liked the way she treated spike. but after going through & watching them again knowing what happens, i saw that she really was falling in love with spike. i mean looking at the last ep alone, she said she wasn't really ready for love, but looking at the way she was with spike in the last 3-4 episodes, you can really see that she was falling in love with him. it might not be enough, but it was there.

Oh, I was so hoping someone had done this song with Buffy and Spike. I was reading Spuffy fanfiction when this song came on my playlist and it occurred me to that it was the perfect song for them. Naturally, I then hit Youtube to see if anyone had made one, and I found this. I love it! :D

awwwwwwwwwww! I LOVE Spike! I can't believe he died at the end! I cried my eys out when Buffy was there :'( This video always reminds me of that moment and I wish they were together. Much better than Angel! :P
