  • This was a great Tabata workout to start with :) The others were pretty difficult for me, but I'm also horribly out of shape. Thanks for posting!

  • @automaticlov3r "Stretching" before a workout isn't necessary, but warming your muscles up is. This is fine for a warmup for a fit person.

  • This is great! I just learned about The Tabata Protocol training from y chiropractor & am adding it to my Bowflex strength training weekly. It also doesn't hurt that you're QUITE easy on the eyes. :>

I actually make my own... to download my custom free Tabata Timers (like the one featured in this video), visit my blog through bexlife [dot] com and click "FREE TABATA TIMERS" In in the QUICK LINKS menu. You can also get your own Gymboss timer through my website... that's what I use to train my clients and workout when I'm not in front of my computer.

  • Good excercises, BUT a word of warning, be sure to warm up and cool down prior to excercising, I injured my achilles tendon by not warming up properly and doing these excercises..

    If you are a beginner to working out, I would follow my "One Month-12 Workouts" videos and then add two cardio days to that routine. So that's 5 days of exercise with two days off per week. But keep in mind that diet is 90% of losing weight. Exercise will help burn calories and build muscle, which will be the best way to maintain your weight loss. Thanks for commenting :)

  • I drink a green juice everyday.

    I love organic eggs (I raise my own chickens).

    I try to avoid processed foods and all artificial flavorings, colorings, and sweeteners... no margarine, no high fructose corn syrup-ever.

    I write a lot about diet in my fitness diary on my website, bexlife [dot] com. I have an entry all about what's in my refrigerator :)

  • Can you share what your fitness routine is outside of these 4 minute workouts?

  • Hey Rachel,

    These 4-minute workouts have replaced all the cardio in my regular routine. I weight train (without cardio) 3x a week for about 45 minutes to an hour. Before starting these "tabatas" a couple months ago, I also ran about 15 miles/week. I haven't had a change in weight since I switched my routine, but my muscle has increased as well as my overall endurance.

  • ...the "12 Workouts" playlist has great routines that will give you 3/week for 4 weeks. I do the 4-minute routines 5 days a week... I have two days off every week.

  • That's awesome. I am training for a half-marathon, but I want to replace some of my short "filler" runs with some other kind of cardio to avoid injury. I really like your workouts because they're fast paced and I can do it indoors. :)
