My life doesn't require me to own a gun, in fact ive never shot someone and I hope I will never need to, but I still have a license to carry a concealed gun and most times I do.

With the exception of some places that are inappropriate, like going into a store, being around family etc. Mainly I just always keep one in my car.

I think that if everyone was required to own a gun, crime and the death toll would steep to a all time low.

Even with prohibition, like in your country, criminals can still get guns, but the majority of citizens cannot get them to defend themselves from criminals.

Yes I took a safety course - if you count a strict police background check, mountain safety examination and personal visit by the local arms officer to check my house is secure and my firearms are being safely stored - all of which are required for a firearms licence in New Zealand.

@BuddyMcChubChub there are many magnum revolvers, both single and double actions. in this 1 u dont have to pull the HAMMER (not bolt) back after every shot but if uve ever used a revolver (even a cap toy gun or similar) u know the pull is a lot shorter and its much easier to hit a target when the hammer is cocked.

@Robertjcksn40 the recoil in that ruger is less than the smith and wesson of the same barrel length, the ruger is a bit heavier and that helps with it, the barrel length matters too the shorter the barrel the more it kicks. there are full house magnums which recoil quite a bit especially with heavy bullets, 240 weight is not bad. you can also fire 44 special or 44 russian from a 44 mag, they are kittens when it comes to recoil. nobody target shoots with 44 mag they use 44 special usually

yes you can measure the recoil. dont be an idiot theres an equation for that as well or are you just a complete moron? you need the weight of the firearm the speed of the bullet and how much it weighs. yes its possible to gauge the recoil force, but thats all relative for some people recoil is no issue, others it is, pick a firearm that you can control. i personally have no problem with a 44 even a 50.

yes if you watched the video when he forgot to pull the hammer back once more after he pulled the trigger he tried to fire it without the hammer down and it didn't fire indicating it is a single action firearm. if it were a double action revolver he could just pull the trigger again and again and the trigger would pull back the hammer for him
