Okay, what I saw happen was the kid in the MACh1, spun his tires, finally caught traction, backed off, and lost. He's clearly VERY inexperienced when it comes to racing his car. With acouple of mods, an Eclipse will take most STOCK Mustangs.But if you give a MACh1 equivalent mods, took both cars to the track, and drove them equally as well, you would see quite a large difference in the numbers. But, a win is a win, i'm not hating, just trying to put my .02 out there.

It is a Mach 1, and they don't have the 99 Cobra Engine...they have different cams, different tune, and a forged crank, and other changes...they put out significatly more power and torque. The Mach 1 driver in this video SUCKED...spun through first gear and short shifted into 2nd. The MIVEC kicked in and you were gone? haahahahaha...Sorry, unless you have nitrous or a turbo you aren't going to touch a Mach 1 (with a decent driver)

actually mach'1 have around 335 bhp americans and there sorry under efficient engines as always have to say lkess power so that they pass regulations and emissions, they have a different tune and head work done to them. basicly they added 10 hp per cylinder which ismeasley, ford like all other american cars are inefficient when they can put out 100hp/per liter then i will say good work

I raced him 4 times and 3 out of 4 the 1 loss was because i turned off tracktion control. Dude eclipse is lighter and faster cuz off the mivec. look at the other video from his point of view on my profile.

I drive an '06 Eclipse GT v6 and it's pretty fast. I don't think it would beat a mach 1 bone stock though. Either the Eclipse is modified or that's not a Mach 1.
