im a music producer .. how can i get the best quality when producing beats .. should i mess with my equalizer or disable it or what .. i notice that songs sound compressed on this dell thx 8300 pc im using .. i need help any suggestions ? ?
@RenzaVEVO Nah Mate, Don't Mess With The EQ. If You're Producing, You Should Be Mixing On CD Quality 16 Bit 44100 Sound. I Dont Know Much About The Sound In Dell, BUT Invest In A GOOD Soundcard. I Am Currently Investing In A MOTU Audio Card! It Also Depends On The Sequencer You're Using To Produce. Check Your Render Output Options.
My computer was a vista 32bit a few years ago. The sound was fine even if I adjust it to the highest quality. But when I switched to win7 32-bit. I adjusted the quality to 24-bit 96000hz studio quality, there is a very annoying screeching sound everytime I play something. Can you help?
@zzzzzzzzz269 My voice is embarrassingly bad in this video. So slow. If I were to re-record, I could say the same info much clearer and faster. I could probably say everything I did in this video in a minute or less.
@1998anirudh I no longer recommend 192,000hz, as nothing supports that and can cause compatibility issues. Use 24bit/480000hz. The true advantage is the higher bit (24bit vs 16bit)
Guys, want a awesome quality for audio?? Very easy, go download the Realtek software and play with the equalizer.. that really helps if you know how to set the equalizer, try it people.. i aint joking. :)
@leslieip1993112 - Tbh, I believe there are no differences between 48000hz and 96000hz or 192000hz, because nothing is really supports or uses those rates anyways. I recommend keeping it on 24bit/48000hz for maximum compatibility. I have had some issues using 24bit/96000hz on games like Call of Duty. Keep it on 24bit/48000hz for best quality.
@BIOHazard877 hey you can even change the Equalizer to make it sound a thousand times better i use my own custom settings and it sounds awesome with the max HZ possible for my computer (the one on the bottom of the list 24bit) and im using windows vista so you should try fooling around with the Equalizer it really helps with muffled audio if you have terrible quality and it even makes good speakers sound better too please try it and tell me what you think.
@realflow100 I do not believe in using equalizers. Equalizers use software enhancements to "TRY" to improve audio quality.... but all it really does is make the audio sound different than the original author intended. EQ's lower quality, whether or not you THINK it sounds better.
@BIOHazard877.........I don't care. I can increase and decrease the amount of bass or treble with an EQ. which makes it sound a lot better for certain songs.
@leslieip1993112 - Practically all sound cards support 24bit now, so my guess is that yours DOES support 24bit. To find out, follow the directions in my video. Right click audio icon > playback devices > right click Speakers > Properties > Advanced > Choose 24bit/48000hz. Press apply, then restart and try playing some music. If your sound still works, then your card supports 24bit. If you hear no audio, put it back to 16bit/48000hz, and that would mean you DON'T have a 16bit.
@mrzwerus -- I now recommend using 24bit/48000hz for almost all setups, due to the lack of benefit/support of 96000hz. Some games such as CoD may not work on 96000hz. The true benefit you are receiving is going from 16bit to 24bit.
@snabb133 Like I said in the video, try using 24bit/48000hz. If that does not work, then you simply DO NOT have a 24bit sound card, so you will have to go back to the original 16bit/48000hz to make it work again.
A MILLION thanks! You're the only one who helped me. WOW - I can't believe the difference. So glad I didn't put the computer out in today's trash..........
I'm not on my Vista/Win7 machine atm, but I will try to remember the steps.
Right click audio icon in task bar, Playback options, right click your Speakers, properties, Advanced tab (most right tab) and select 24bit/48000Hz if you have a 24bit sound card (you do if it still works after you select/apply and still have audio). If not go back to 16bit/48000hz
Then you obviously didn't listen to the video. Try a lower setting like 24bit/48000hz. If that doesn't work, that probably means you do not have a 24bit sound card, you have a 16bit sound card.
I have a problem, I don't have the option to change it with Windows 7... Like it's grey and I can't click on it. Anything to help ? Thanks.

@snabb133 Like I said in the video, try using 24bit/48000hz. If that does not work, then you simply DO NOT have a 24bit sound card, so you will have to go back to the original 16bit/48000hz to make it work again.
