you should take your bar and roll it on the floor to see if it is bent...I read that a bent bar can take 10+ pounds off of your bench cause your shoulders have to compensate for the weight imbalance and you wont even realize it.
It's probably around 480 lbs on the bottom and 575 lbs on the top. The weight increases as more chain comes off the ground (i.e. it increases along with your strength curve). The lift never really gets easy...
Thanks man...it was a tough lift, especially after doing squats. Squats really kills your upper end of your deadlift (for me anyway). The lock-out was really tough on this one, not just because of the chains...
Thanks bro...I am still the same size/weight etc...it just depends on the clothes that I wear as to whether or not it shows more on each vid. But thanks...I will take that as a complement.
Great lift! My deadlift has been coming along great too! I just recently pulled 425 for 11! And I almost got 12! So I really want to be pulling 550 at my meet in 7 weeks! And also, whats up with deadlifting in jeans..lol Don't you think you could get more with some shorts? lol
Thanks Nate. You like the jeans? Ha, ha, ha...yeah, I wasn't really going to workout but I was messing around with the weights will BBQ'ing and things felt pretty good so I kept going...too late to change then.
Why are you doing such high reps on your dead's? Have you lifted over 500 lbs in your training? Just curious...
I don't normally rep that high when trying to add strength...
Ya, I actually have NEVER lifted with that high amount of reps before. But as you know, I have just started on th 5-3-1 program and it has you working off of 90 percent of what your actually max is so as you can imagine, the reps are a little bit higher on the first week of each cycle. But as the weeks move on, the reps slowly decrease as the weight has gine up. But overall I have been hitting alot of PR'S and the program seems to be working well! What did you think of it when I sent you it!
Thanks Dario...I appreciate that. Hopefully I can get 500 lbs with the chains soon. Then I should be getting close to a 550 lb or 600 lb regular deadlift.
The chains are a neat idea.
