You are amazing and beautiful. But to all people that don't understand. While she does to signs right I believe this and her other videos are just her versions. She doesn't do nearly all the sighns she could and should do to fully sing the song. My wife is deaf and we been together 9 years so i do know a bit about it. But still very hot.
I think that you need to understanding the difference between "interpreting" and "translating". If she were translating the song, she would be signing word or word. However, interpreting is exactly that... an interpretration. Each professional ASL person may sign it a little differently. The goal is to get the exact message and point across - she's done that.
If she signed any more words, it would be Signing Exact English. It's a _good_ thing that she is spare with her signs and uses them with the rhythm of the song. All of the message is there. She has omitted none of the message. This is interpretation.

At 1:17 you "draw" lines on your forehead, chest, etc. It looks like your "showing" that you and the girl (to whom the part refers to) have the same scars, feel the same pain. Is that what you mean, or am I way out on left-field while your busy playing tennis.
ASL stands for American Sign Language. tiffanythill is using ASL signs and acting out the song in an artistic/dramatic fashion.
This is actually an incredibly brillant interpretation. It's not word for word of the lyrics but the meaning of the song is coming through very clearly.
I think amazing is the only word I can use to describe your interpretations of songs. I don't really understand ASL all that much, in my job I use BSL but still I think you do a marvellous job. Keep them coming! XX
After watching a couple others try signing this in ASL.. I kept seeing yours in my head.. so had to come back, watch again, and favorite.. you sell it so well. When people interpret a song in such a way, then I like the song more and makes me want to buy the song.. so, YouTube would be silly to take down ASL videos with music..

Great job! I enjoyed your performance and you are a beautiful ASL user. Can I ask you to do Michael Jackson's "Will You Be There"? My wife and I are deaf and we discuss this lyric so much and we are curious who "they" are (But THEY told me A man must be faithful) We have ideas but are curious about yours. You seem to have a good sense of lyrics. You don't have to though... %^)

Grief or maybe to grasp. In the interpretation, I'm guessing she used to mean grasp because it fits into the context of that part of the song.

The sign at exactly 3:29 -- the one where she closes her hand over her chin -- is "value" or "cherish"

I have to say your interpretation is just simply AMAZING I don't understand ASL much since i teach myself by watching songs played in ASL :P but i can still see what's going on though I don't understand it if that makes any sence lol :P

You are amazing and beautiful. But to all people that don't understand. While she does to signs right I believe this and her other videos are just her versions. She doesn't do nearly all the sighns she could and should do to fully sing the song. My wife is deaf and we been together 9 years so i do know a bit about it. But still very hot.

I think that you need to understanding the difference between "interpreting" and "translating". If she were translating the song, she would be signing word or word. However, interpreting is exactly that... an interpretration. Each professional ASL person may sign it a little differently. The goal is to get the exact message and point across - she's done that.

If she signed any more words, it would be Signing Exact English. It's a _good_ thing that she is spare with her signs and uses them with the rhythm of the song. All of the message is there. She has omitted none of the message. This is interpretation.

Question (I don't know if you have time to answer, but I'll cross my fingers).
At 1:17 you "draw" lines on your forehead, chest, etc. It looks like your "showing" that you and the girl (to whom the part refers to) have the same scars, feel the same pain. Is that what you mean, or am I way out on left-field while your busy playing tennis.

ASL stands for American Sign Language. tiffanythill is using ASL signs and acting out the song in an artistic/dramatic fashion.
This is actually an incredibly brillant interpretation. It's not word for word of the lyrics but the meaning of the song is coming through very clearly.

After watching a couple others try signing this in ASL.. I kept seeing yours in my head.. so had to come back, watch again, and favorite.. you sell it so well. When people interpret a song in such a way, then I like the song more and makes me want to buy the song.. so, YouTube would be silly to take down ASL videos with music..
