  • I would love to see some flatpicking in these demos. Many of the people (myself included) are interested in these high end martins for bluegrass. Simply strumming it does not really tell us anything. Just a suggestion.

  • Very nice demo, looks like he's enjoying himself and that's what guitars are for, keep banging out those chords dude. Guitar sounds nice, but it's another Martin dred with light strings. You could get a Yamaha or Tanglewood solid wood for less than a quarter of the price that sound just as great with their standard light strings so why buy a Martin dred that is braced for mediums and then put lights on, bonkers.

  • Mine got stolen back 2005. Sure miss that guitar. O'well...!

  • Hi, thanks for the nice demos, enjoy listening.

But I have a question, what exactly should I imagine under the term "select hardwood"?

  • Dude....easy on that thing, youre playing music, not trying to beat the shit out of it.

  • Better D41 special or D28 Marquis?

  • @bufalobilll

I've just played both in Tokyo a few days ago and liked them a lot, beautiful instruments. But I prefer the D41 special, IMHO richer, deeper and more versatile.

  • @peterjordan12

    Thanks a lot.

  • @bufalobilll

Grazie.Paolo.

  • @bobbybrown90 Mabey YOU could come film some for us

  • @MorrellMusic HAHAAAAAAA

  • @MorrellMusic HAHAAAAAAA he throws an Am in there, shows u have no idea wut ur talking about u shmuck, power to Morrel!

  • @MorrellMusic

I think what he's trying to say is that it gets extremely repetitive, but of course, in a rude manner.

  • @MorrellMusic Good point - most people will want to hear something that they can play and the strummed chords give a true idea of the guitar's projection and tone as it is likely to be played by the majority of people. This guitar is not really a pure fingerpicker's guitar anyway as it is too big and the bass and mids will always power out over the trebles. I would sure as hell like to fingerpick it just fine though.

  • @MorrellMusic i believe what bobby so un-eloquently meant was....instead of having some guy just play a bunch of chords, why not show some of the guitars range by hiring a flatpicker to showcase the martin's true sound qualities...the majority of people who will be buying a guitar like this will be playing in these bluegrass/acoustic setting so it seems appropriate to get a flatpicker to do the demo...at least that's what i think he meant!

  • @bobbybrown90 You think you could do it fuckhead?

  • @bobbybrown90 Dude, it's a demo. They aren't supposed to play something extremely hard. Just some basic stuff so people get an idea of what the instrument sounds like.

  • @bobbybrown90

Well gee whiz it's not like people use chords when they play, I mean how DARE they use chords! Who plays chords on a guitar?! What a hack!

    *rolleyes*

  • @bobbybrown90 How appropriate that your name is bobbybrown. HAHAHA go do some more coke with Whitney and leave the musicians to their business. Love my Martin D-41. I like the demo's to hear different tones of each guitar. Made in America too.

  • I want one!!!

  • @PowerThroughJoy

    me too!!!!!!

  • I wish the HD28v looked like this with the pearl etc. Anyone know the differ in this and th HD28v always wanted a martin and its down to these two.

  • that's the DAN FOGELBERG signature guitar. the DF martin

  • Nice playing! I've had a DM since 95. I don't think I have heard a sweeter acoustic than Martin! I do like the Taylor 810, but the buck stops with Martin for myself anyways.

  • whos the guy playing?

can i ask what his favourite martin is? in rankings would be cool too.

  • Will Macmorran.

  • sounds like yellowcard

  • o it just sounded like a song iv heard... thats all bro

  • Look up Will Macmorran on Myspace.

  • same here sounds sortof like a hootie song

  • what song was that

  • i am getting one of these next week i poured someones drivewy for it. its in pretty mint condition for a 73. but man does it sound like heaven. i cant wait to get it and put some fresh strings on it. wow

  • You'll have got it by now but the next time you restring it, do it with Elixirs, unless you have already. They seem to keep that grindy noise forever if you know what I mean. Cost a bit but are worth it. Try 'em

  • Actually, this was tracked with Elixirs. We are an Elixir dealer as well. Yeah, they cost a little more but are generally worth it.

  • I have a D-41 Special, it is a wonderful instrument. Martin is awesome.

  • @totheear What's the price tag on one? What a beauty!

  • Hey!That's my guitar...We love it...it's mine.....our preeeeeecious...

  • just picked one of these up, sounds nice!
