  • Thanks for the tutorial - i've always done quiet well with regular leds and even have done many applications using the 0603 SMD's but the project i am working on now requires me to solder wires to the 0603 SMD's and then provide power through that route - needless to say this tutorial works great and provided me the little bit of extra help i needed to make this project easier. Thanks a million!!

  • How manny can you put in line so u don't need a resistor ? On a 12v application

  • What works really good for removing oxidation is an eraser pencil.

  • Do u need to have an resistor on every led

  • @pinhead418 it would be a good idea but need isnt the word. if you want your leds to last for forever yeah

  • Why is he putting those two wires on that baby flea anyway ?

    im against animal testing ..

  • the only part i dont understand is the scraping the metal contacts under the led. what does that mean? what do the metal contacts look like? and what does the scraping do?

  • GhoSt: the metal contacts are what you attach the wires to, there are two (+ and -) scraping them is one way of removing oxidation that may prevent a good solder joint.

  • Lol Dazzerr has that exact same craft knife

  • lol slow, but I solder them right. Btw I can solder a 0603 led in 1min and 22 secs.

  • Slow ghost >.> LOL, GOod tut :D

I like the nic0 method the best though :D, Tape FTW.

  • thanks props go to Ghost_Death
