I cannot stand the dancing f/a/g/ on 27:01, he prances around with four women so in reality it's five women. The princess talks like a street market vendor, the prince is creepy and that huge woman... this is terrible.

you know, this movie may have a lot of editing mistakes, theres some questions about it (were the towns people waiting by the beanstalk for all those days and nights, why didnt they help jack cut down the tree), the giant isnt that tall, the swords are obviously rubber, and it was obviously on a set.

but still, this is better than any other jack and the beanstalk movie and its one of my favorite movies and it is extremly funny.

@copnite12342 I remember reading about it a few years ago, and if memory serves me correctly it was about jealousy. People liked Costello's onscreen character better. Apparently it was open loathing and if one was in a public place and the other came in..one would just get up and leave. Outside of the act they couldn't be in the same room.

Quite a contrast between them and Laurel and Hardy who were as devoted to each other's friendship as if they were brothers.

@Lurking99 what are talking about. this was a total classic. if you were expecting a laugh out loud comedy as their other movies than you were looking in the wrong place. This wasnt supposed to be that funny. Its more of a fantasy musical film than a comedy as it was inteded to be.

Oh my frikkin god. I haven't seen this since my mom got rid of our VHS tapes. This was my favourite movie as a kid. One of my good memories from before my parents' divorce was watching this on a Friday night with my little sister and eating a mint Areo chocolate bar. Thanks :D

used on a device called a VCR (video cassette recorder), usually a big black rectangular box that would occasionally eat these vhs's up from time to time, this would also happen to audio cassette tapes when played in a walkman or a boombox. look in thrift stores, where there will be tons of these VHS's sitting on the shelves.
