  • Why can't you guys shut the fuck up and appreciate the bike for how fucking sexy it is and how it spanks almost everything on the road STOCK?

  • 90 something percent of the people can ride a stock bike to its full potential and we aren't talking about straight line riding. The bike owns you and there is such little difference in them that it only shows on the track.

  • Where is the helmet, s t u p i d ?

  • @peburcanudas Read the discribtion, s t u p i d

  • @TheRealTimious ya i did... wtf? did you look at it? lol

  • @peburcanudas where is you education, mr?

  • Actually, manufacturers never make a TOTALLY NEW bike. There are alyways parts from the previous year(s) that they add to the new bikes. And yeah, I know about the tach error. I differ about the R6 exhaust...personally, I dont think they will be undertail. I believe they save that for the R1's. We will see about 2010 though...I will keep your name in mind and we will see who is right. I say that for the R6, it will not be a REDESIGN (ie from 2005 to 2006). New graphics yes, but a redesign no

  • UH, you sir, are wrong, i have a few examples for you, 2009 R1, completley new engine/chassis/ swingarm, new intakes, new headlights, new crank, new sound, new exhaust, new licence plate bracket, face it everything is new, nothing from the 07-08 fits. my second point is 2004-2005 R6... two completley diffrent bikes, third point, ducati's 999 and it's 1098, discountinued 99 for 1098 (now 1198) and also there smaller capactity's the 749 and now 848.

  • Lemme ask u a question...will 08 R1 wheels fit the 09 R1? Yes, it will. Not completely different. What about the brakes from the 08? Exactly the same. Forks? Exactly the same. Chain? The same.

  • Let me ask you a question? What chain does the CBR1000RR use? how about the 2003 R1, how about my dads old harley 1550cc? ah, you don't know, correct i knew you wouldn't they all use the same chain :). second. wheels. on sports bikes theirs only one or two sizes to fit, you silly bastard. what company changes the fucking chain or the wheels, none, why, because it makes NO diffrence, fucking hell, you can by chains for GSX-R's and they'll fit R1's you silly cunt.

  • 43mm upside down forks now have independent damping, compression in left, rebound in right leg. Yamaha says this improves the damping response. As the forks are connected by the yokes and wheel spindle its all one unit, so is still balanced out properly. The rear shock has a new bottom link set-up and a new hydraulic preload adjuster. The steering damper is now speed sensitive, controlled electronically

  • The 09 Yamaha R1 carries the same six-piston caliper (but on different design carriers) and 310mm disc set-up as the previous model Discs are slightly lighter than before.

All that was taken straight off MCN's website you silly bastard, so if you don't have facts, don't talk. your a prick :) end of. oh... and your wrong.. ahha :)

  • The rear tyre profile is up from 50 to 55-section for better side grip.

oh ahha so the tyre profile is diffrent too :) eaten your own words yet prick?

  • Also, my original argument was that bike manufacturers never MAKE AN ENTIRE NEW BIKE from the previous model. Even ONE single thing that remains the same, equals NOT A TOTAL REDESIGN. So, faggot boy, do I have to whoop your ass some more, or do you understand? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!

  • it's cute how you think you won something lol, i'm done, i'm right and your not, now get a life and stop being petty.

  • ohh he traded a soda for the bike

  • "you're gonna steal my soda"

  • why did you buy this bike? the 2010 R6 is coming out in 6 months and its gonna be ALL NEW from headlight to the license plate bracket. what a waste of money..

  • What the hell are you talking about? It is doubtful that the '10 R6 will be all new...HIGHLY doubtful. Also, bike manufacturers NEVER make a brand new bike from headlight to license plate.

  • they did when they introduced 2006 R6 - although they had a 20k rpm redline that never really reached 20k. So they had to re-make the speedometer for the 2007 R6 (and other minor engine changes)

  • very unlikely because they just did an over haul on the bike in 2008 no reason to redo it again in 2 years.

  • not only that but also they kept the same style of bike because of the popularity. in 08 the bike was new tail to front but they kept same body style because of its popularity

  • 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 R6 look almost the same. The chassis changed but the shape of headlight, taillight are identical, and so are all the dimensions. They do not differ even by a milimeter. The only thing added was YCCT (chip controlled throttle) and other little things like comfort seat and new rearseat cowl. Exhausts are compatible (06-07 and 08-09) and so are most of the parts including steering damper, lighting, rearset etc. 2010 R6 is said to have undertail exhaust and new head/taillight.
