I can boot my arch in 11 seconds on ASUS Eee PC - Intel Atom 1.66 GHz x 2 and 1 GiB of RAM. Arch is very customizable :)

It would be fairer to time it to loading a usable desktop instead of just the DM login. There's still a lot more loading going on after logging in.

@a931bw Let us not forget that you can set Arch'u: what is to be loaded in the system and when:)
So are you a much better processor, the system will load much faster.

My laptop has Intel core 2 duo Processor (4ghz x2)
And optimized kernel, along with SLiM and OpenBox.
Also no BS like HAL :)
