  • Genius, what a transition from Audioslave

  • chris cornell is my favorite singer

  • Great version, Chris Cornell rocks.

  • holy shit hes son drugs...

  • Nah, he just looks like that (again) since he went solo (AGAIN)

  • dude everyone on that stage is ripped. doesnt mean they cant make some bad ass music.

  • i like the fact that there is 2 keyboardists in the band : )

  • wow this is actually a good song

  • Great Chris... Great Song... Grea Album!!!!

    GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!!!

  • were can i download THIS version either the rock version or this live version????

  • yeah this and watch out were both incredibly better without Timbaland.

    just from personal experience.

  • Yeah, I saw it live befor I saw the cd version, this is way better.

  • Worlds above timberland!

  • wierd how so many people hated scream but since there are guitars in it now they love it, cornell rocks, so does scream

  • So fuckin much better without Timbaland.

  • i'd have to say that this song is a little bit better than the one with Timbaland..... Very awesome performance!!!!

  • He walks around like the lead from lynyrd skynyrd, pretty cool.

  • much better without timbaland.

  • i got the song on my ipod

  • I really like almost everything from Cornell, bu t I can't believe I heard this chord sequence AGAIN! In a Cornell's song! OMG!

  • My God this song is soooo much better live.

Chris could have done the exact same album without Timbaland and it would be insane. I still love the new album, but it would be bomb without Timbalands influence

  • Comment removed

  • there both good but you cant compare two great pple

  • It seems like the band doesn't really know what they have to do on stage.

I do love his 'timbaland sounds' at the start of the song, hehehe.

  • lol at the wanna be slash

this guy sucks so horribly bad

  • chris i love you!!!

  • YEAH ROCK ON!

    much better than original version

  • I wouldn't say it's much BETTER, but for sure is less worse.

  • yeah man

  • chris puts his voice into any style of music i love this and anything experimental he does.

  • it's Not sad, as a musician, he feels that he have to explore, I prefer the old Chris Stuff, but even if the new music he's making, doesn't like to the old fans, doesn't means that is bad or Wrong, besides he doesn't need to "be comercial".. i respect all the comments, but I think that a musician, can do whatever change he wants, to another audience in order to explore.. peace!

  • I agree completely.

  • dude.. so sad that this has happened to chris. :(

  • This is spectacular in the same sense that Weather Report were spectacular. This is a really great fusion of two great styles of music... Extremely unique and uncharacteristic of Chris. I definitely love the new album. VERY chill, haha.

  • SOOO i just got back from a CC concert at Downtown Disney in the House of Blues and cornell signed my shirt!

  • cool!

  • is he a nice guy i honestly look up to him

  • dude hes awesome. he was talking about how the swine flu was spreading and he said he wasnt afraid of the flu, so he jumped into the crowd. Plus he gave this little kid on his dads shoulders drum sticks. he's really nice.

  • chicken drum sticks or drum drumsticks?

  • yeah he's a good role model and my biggest inspiration

  • love the rocking out in the beginning. for the rest... i love that too! damn, i love this song!

  • THIS SONG FUCKING SUCKS YOU FAGGOTS WHO LIKE THIS NEED TO DIE ! IT SOUNDS LIKE HE CLEARS HIS THROAT WITH a cock

  • you dont know shit of music and you must clear your ears out! This man is an amzaing singer and i would like to hear YOU sing like that you, dumbass!

  • comming from the guy named cockplug...

  • He has such a soulful voice. I was surprised to find out he was white!

  • I thought he back to making good after Do You Know My Name but I was waaaay wrong. You can't fault Chris for wanting to experiment but keep this is crap and not worthy of his talent.

  • you're a dumb fuck. fusion is the future of music. A true artist doesn't follow the fans.... the fans follow them.

  • You are very wise.

  • the acoustic version of this that Chris did really shows that it's a good tune. The album piece isn't my cup of tea, but the problem isn't the song itself.

  • chris should learn some dance moves like justin timberlake to go along with his trendy pop.

  • I don't care what anyone says, X-over music is awesome. I think Chris Cornell's voice works great with R&Bish music! Never heard comments like these when Lil' Wayne sang to Alternative/Rock music.

  • Damn straight. Chris Cornell is a true artist, concerned more with his art than with cashing in.

"Scream" is every bit the brave move that "Raising Sand" was for Robert Plant.

  • That's because Lil' Wayne was a joke to start with. Chris Cornell is a musical legend for more than the number of albums he sold.

  • I love it..!!!!

  • Jesus Christ is this what ppl consider good music nowadays......im in hell

I'll always respect Cornell for Soundgarden...and some adioslave...but this....

    this is an abomination

I never thought i would hear something form cornell that i would hate.....but this is it

    SOUNDGARDEN FOREVER \m/

  • better then that pre-made beat shit timabaland layed down. still sucks though. cornell needs to hang it up. used to be my idol

  • Comment removed

  • this version realy rocks .. i got scared when i lsnd to the album version

  • This is how the album should have been recorded, sounds much better :D

  • Lol i thought he would be brave enough to play his pop shit in front of an audience

  • chris cornell = my life...long live mr.cornell!

  • i never knew this fellow was exceedingly attractive = ]

  • God bless you brother.

  • God bless you brother!

  • Now THIS is how the album should have been!!!

  • totaly

  • Yeah its tons better than the studio version

  • If you like Cornell check some of our stuff out..Thanks - RED SUN RISING

  • I think I like the songs off the new album better live.

Chris makes everything rock live though.

  • I just saw him in concert, and he sounded amazing! I loved when he played this song especially! Though the Bass player (bald guy) was all over the stage, even at some points standing in the center in front of Chris, which got annoying at times. But still an amazing concert!

  • Great song, awesome live sound......awesome singing. fucking epic

  • Wow.

This is 32598238954895348957 times better than the studio version.

Still sounds like a shitty lullaby R&B lullaby tho.

  • its sounds like "crawling "by linkin park like the demo version

  • Ive been a fan since his pre-soundgarden days, and this is My favorite song he has ever done.

and for those that dont like it, why would he care what you think...you probaly download all your music for free anyhow.

  • Well, SCREAM is so unlike his other music. Timbaland produced it to make it sound all pop like, withc doesn't work for Chris at all. Its way better live, with more guitars and less synthenizers, giving it a more rock fell, wihtc Chris is better with

  • Catpuke7, I think this comment clearly shows you are NOT a long-term Cornell fan.

You were a fan of Cornell since his "pre-Soundgarden days"? LOL, please explain...

  • He played with a bunch of dudes from our neighborhood called the Jones Street Band, this was way back in the day, mostly covers. VERY thrashy covers lol but fun to watch and have a few beers.

I dont see how my first comment makes me not a long term fan? because i like his current tunes? how about you explain ...

  • Dude, you were 5 when Cornell was in Jones Street Band. LOL I bet those beers tasted great. haha...

It's cool that you can read bios though.

  • No, I was 14 lol, I would`nt believe every thing a person puts in their profile either, some of us take less then 2 seconds to throw them togeather and if I am correct mine doesnt even have the right gender selected. lol also, its OK to be wrong.

  • How convenient, your profile just happens to be off by 11 years. (yea right), face it, you got busted in a lie.

  • You truley are SOFA KING AWSOME!! ;)

  • HOLY CRAP !!! THIS IS REALLY STNNUNG !!! IT'S A BIG BIG SSSSHIT !!! Sadness !!!

  • Chris go home! Suck that shit!

  • Don't care for any of his new stuff as it seems to just kinda fade into the crowd of popular music nowadays, but he does sound great live here.

  • they shouldve made the whole song like they did the intro here...played on instruments, not just a beat machine and synthesizers

  • I am an older dude so I dont care for the really really hard stuff. I am from the Bad Company, Journey, Kansas genre.

So this stuff is great. Nice Job Mr. Cornell.

    Very Melodic.

  • Cornell has a great voice. But the band is awfull. It all looks so overdone. Three Guitars but it sounds like nothing.

  • yeah 3 guitars. just awfull. only one thing there are two guitars and one bass.... i could be wrong but this is a regular setup for a band --> 3dd,FoB,and others

  • chris has such a great voice that he can do basically whatever kind of music he wants, and this helps prove that. yeah we all miss audioslave, but chris has an amazing voice where this music is good too

  • his voice is shit now. listen to the album badmotorfinger if you really wanna hear him sing.

  • yeah i know its different than what he used to, and im not saying this is his best work. his best days were with audioslave in my opinion, but im just saying that this is still somewhat okay, and he has one of the best voices of the decade.

  • great song, great album.

Finally an artist who tries whatever he likes to do

and he gets way with it.

    his voice got soul

  • This album kicks arse. If you fools don't like it, go listen to Soundgarden repeats for the rest of your days, keeping the same boring mind-set you display on you-tube. Scream flows perfectly and Part of Me & Ground Zero are the best "pop" songs I've heard for a long time. He's kicked arse in rock and now he's kicked arse in pop-rock. And what right does Trent Reznor have to trash him? Reznor's been on the same themes for nearly 20 years. Loser.

  • i completely agree with you man

    chris is great

  • fuck reznor, chris can do any style

  • wtf

  • R.I.P. Crhis

  • somewhere in the back Tom Morello is shaking his head :(

  • R.I.P. AUDIOSLAVE

come back from the valley of the shadow of the death & resurrect yourself to become our savior & save of us from this horrible bad music!

  • the guitar is what chris cornell is all about. i don't know what is up with him this year. audioslave should band together again i missed them. i'm tired of listening to Rage's Sac De La Rocha's shitty voice & shitty lyrics. Audioslave should come back & save us from this evil called pop music & rap shit. :D

  • this is intense. sweet song. its also good that the record version sounds different because the fans have something to actually look for live. so its like getting a upsize of your value meal. hahaha...

  • PURE FUCKING SHIT

  • This is the kind of corporate made band Kelly clarkston,Ashley Simpson,Avril lavine would have. I can't believe this is Cornell. It's so fuckin boring. complete shite!

  • Wow, this is infinitely better than the recorded version. Had he released this, I might have bought it.

  • the live version is soo much better than the studio version, you can actually hear him

  • Can one buy an mp3 of this version of the song?

  • even life he has a great voice!

  • if you really wanna hear him wail, look up the songs jesus christ pose & slaves and bulldozers.

  • Rusty cage >:)

  • Euphoria Morning was waaay different than his older stuff and this is way different from his newer stuff..except this sucks. Ill give it a try but I dont see myself liking this

  • this sounds 50 times better than the studio version. This song live kinda has a nu metal vibe, in the studio it is just a bad justin timberlake impersonation

  • so much better, so much better!

  • so agree. this version actually rocks

  • exactly, the live version is way better, i think he realizes it, he should have just made 2 version, the studio version, the beats drown his voice

  • say it ain't so, chris

  • this is exponentially better than the studio version, however still not my favorite Cornell stuff at all....and for real, what's up with the slash look alike?? weird...

  • just because he's wearing a similar hat doesn't make him a slash look alike lol.

  • maybe it's just me, but i get a big slash vibe, especially at 51-ish seconds in.

  • this guitar player wants to be slash for some reason

  • Well he sounds like he would definitely need to use the bathroom when he's done..lol...or maybe he could have worn a pampers...the song is too high for him..

  • this song is so much better without all the studio computerized shit

  • i love chris cornell, this album is a little weird tho. this is the best song on it, the rest dont even come close to this. but im not gonna stop liking bands when they make one weird album, every band eventually does.

  • True, look at Metallica's St. Anger.

  • wow thats exactly who i had in mind lol

  • Thanks for posting. I have listened to this song at least a dozen times since they played live on Leno the other night. Catchy and addictive , sounds great live.

  • yea this sounded amazing on leno

  • oh wow it's actually better live

  • i love chris (:

so glad hes back, love this song too!

  • this video is greatly shot

  • who says twanger

    what a homo

  • Are you saying your gay? cause im highly confused and disgusted with whatever you were trying to say

  • no guitar solo here ...

  • Chris is one of the extremely rare musicians who sound exactly like the music videos

  • i enjoyed hearing the drum kit at the beginning :]

and then the "fake drums" showed up... :\

  • Also during the song the real drum is playing - but in the background there is the original beat.

But this version is much greater than the original

  • the sound of at the begining is awsome!

  • GOD WHY!?! Please, bring my old Chris back :( I am so sad. What the hell was he thinking?????

  • armypridetania: He was thinking of a way to stop entertaining an audience that is garbage because they're so fuckin' picky. Don't like it, don't listen; leave this great singer alone.

  • Comment removed

  • I am not saying he is not an amazing singer, I'm saying he went to far left and not enough right. Come on rap beats?? That's not who he is. And I am not "garbage" because I have an opinion on an artist I have been listening to since 93. And its okay breath, dear. I'm not listening.

  • this is the epitome of cheese, it has all the ingredients. Music with no soul...

  • I think the band is a mess. It all looks so fake. Chris is still a great singer do

  • The solo band members don't mix with this. I need to hear more though, I think.

  • put Soundgarden back together for christ sake and make a killing

  • way better?? it's A LOT way better.

just throw away that Timbaland felow

  • i think it sounds wayy better live.

  • wow im surprised at how good that was. love audioslave and soundgarden and chris will always be good.

  • dear god let this album tank so he can go back to making good music!!!!

I read somewhere how the live version is actually good...they were very very wrong...

Even audioslave was better than this...

  • what do you mean be "even" audioslave was better than this? audioslave was fucking great...this is nowhere near as good as audioslave. your acting as if audioslave did poorly.

  • The first album made me think Audioslave was going to save rock, the second was okay, and the thrid made me give up hope. This "SCREAM" bullshit is rock's suicide note.

  • no, i'm not saying audioslave was bad, but Audioslave DEFINITELY had NOTHING on Soundgarden. I'm a little biased because I hate Rage Against The Machine...mainly because the only good musician in Rage was the bassist...Political Rock Sucks...but back to Audioslave, they weren't bad by any means. At least Chris Cornell made his own music back then...

  • i totally agree, i cant stand most political rock and for the few i do like it has nothing to do with the meanings of the songs. but of course audioslave wasnt as good as soundgarden but i like a lot of early audioslaves songs, but they did begin to fade and as of right now i still like chris's new music but i always love his old stuff more.

  • I don't listen to political rock because of the message, just the tune. But besides that, agreed that Audioslave was not incredible music, but they released 3 decent albums with a few excellent songs. All of which are better than this.

  • urgghhhhh rage against the machine were fucking amazing!!!! this is shit!!!

  • saw him o it at projekt rev it was amazing

  • this sounds just awesome. If the album just had more real guitars, drums and base, it would be awesome.

  • The live version is LEAGUES better than the studio, but that's not saying much. Just watching this though...does he even look like he is even enjoying performing the material?

  • im guessing no, the album was just released and he has probably performed it hundreds of times already. Id be sick of it pretty quick too.

  • God I hope he releases a live version

  • I saw dudeman live at projekt revolution

  • this song is bad ass live

  • chris is so hot omg

  • i love both versions,

    chris cornell is hot!

  • right... two words... CHRIS CORNELL

  • i need to see these guys live

  • So much better live. I can actually say I love this song now that I have heard it this way. I so wish it would have been this way on the CD.

  • i so agree! he should have done it with a live band and use the loops and samples around it, cause i HATE the studio version, but this is good

  • you're an idiot. This sucks.

  • no YOURE a fucking idiot...hey IDIOT, i AGREE with you that this sucks, especially compared to Soundgarden, but live its not as bad as it could have been, it could have been worse, lets just be thankful there are no backup dancers onstage, hopefullly this album will tank and he goes back to rock

  • You see, that's the difference between me and you. Any person who KNOWS and loves music will not respect a rocker with a rap album even if they go back to rock. He's already sold out.

  • hmm i think your dumb if you think this is rap. and your obviously not one of these people who you say love music. real fans of good artists dont stop respecting them for doing what they want even if its not the change they want. your the people chris doesnt even want liking him.

  • YOU HAVE NO POINT!!! This IS sell out music. I'm not a fan of any one person to the point that I'll like whatever they make. If I love their prior albums and then they sell out, like this, I'll stop listening forever. Chris is a FAGGOT if he only want unconditional fans, and you're a FAGGOT if you are. If you like an artist unconditionally, then it's not about music anymore; it means you just want to suck his dick.

  • no your the faggot why would you stop listening to his old music because of the new music he makes?

  • Why a faggot? Are you trying to tell me that Chris Cornell is a bundle of twigs?

  • would reforming soundgarden even tho none of the members have any interest in doin it not be the biggest sellout of all....at least this scream albulm is wat he wants to do and is being done for his love of music

  • That's exactly my point. This album was not what he wanted to do. It's fucking OBVIOUS that rap sells these days, and he wants to make shit that sells.

  • That would be like a band staying together and calling them sellouts for doing so. By your reasoning, everytime any band that has ever come back together for a reunion they were selling out. Use some common sense before you spout stupid crap like that. As ffar as none of them wanting to do it. You might look at this song for their inspiration in having those feelings. I like Cornell but sometimes you have to take people off their pedestals and see them for what they are. Self-centered.
