I expect corporations to care about costs as a bottom line and not about people. In the 21st century I think it is government that must counter this. Capitalism is good with govt. as a check.

Our country needs to take it's lumps, allowing businesses to fail and the market to right itself. Would it be difficult? Yes. But borrowing and spending is what got us into this mess in the first place. Obama's proposed fix is simply more of the same. The reprocussions for these decisions will only make matters worse for us down the road because his plan does not represent change at all.
Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.?

Essentially they're saying we're gonna stop buying the fancy little ketchup packets and start buying the bug squeeze bottle and refill the smaller squeeze bottles. We're not going to open the doors and windows long enough to let all the air conditioning get out. We'll get rid of the old lightbulbs and put in those ones that last 9 years. 2 words... weather stripping. We can't afford to be frivolous and ignorant anymore, so we're calling in a pro to help us make these changes.
