  • Its great seeing Sir Frank before the accident. Walking around and joking with Ayrton.

  • Frank was saying to the others 'hey guys, don't worry, the car IS quick.. look!'

  • #1

  • 3:58 Ayrton R.I.P.

  • wow, frank could walk back then

  • Mesmo com pouca idade, Ayrton já demonstrava grande personalidade. Sabia muito bem o que queria.

  • Meh. Those cars were jurassic stuff. No electronic displays, no cool stuff like KERS or DRS.

  • @lotwyo Nah, you got it round the wrong way The drivers of the 80s and 90s were balls out racers in the coolest cars ever. Turbo engines with massive horse power. Great time and in many people's eyes the best era of F1. It would separate the men from the boys .

  • @thehitchrules 100% completely agree.

  • @lotwyo If KERS and DRS are cool, then all video game racers could compete with these guys who race nowadays. You're a joke!

  • @lotwyo You clearly know fuck all about F1, why make comments like that and look like an asshole?? Jeez!!!

  • Film is incredible. Go see people.

  • His Driving it like go Kart! Best Driving I've ever seen even though its just a test

  • English subs link?

  • Esse sim era um Piloto ,muita garra !!

Eu vi o filme muita emoção !!

  • Euxaristoume gia thn metafrash...!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Euxaristoume gia thn metafrash...!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the cars from then look so cool

  • Senna rocks !!

  • 2:14 homosexual bernie ecclestone....

  • @moondog203 hahaha sure sounded like it

  • Good to see Sir Frank Williams...still in a real good shape back then.

    May god bless him.

  • greek writting :)

  • allah sene rahmet elesin ayrton senna ruhun shad olsun...

  • Sena started on Williams and ended on a Williams.

  • Fastest driver.

    O melhor.

  • enas imitheos

  • That sign he held up said, "Slow the fuck down, Senna! Our cars can't handle you!"

  • beutifull looking cars back then

  • O cara era um predestinado. Mal começava a experimentar os carros de F1 e já tinha opinião formada sobre a capacidade das equipes e a possibilidade de vitórias...

  • O cara era animal !!!

  • @poussyledzep

"Hey Taylor, I'm really happy for you, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!"

  • Rocket Driver's!!! Airton Senna, THE BEST Pilot

  • mostrou que sabia negociar. eh relamente uma vencedor em todos aspectos.

  • I cracks me up that Frank Williams would say something that is so stupid...we don't take on young inexperience drivers......I guess Nakajima....Hulkenburg are just too awesome to pass up as young inexperience drivers. Good one Frank you passed up on the greatest driver who ever lived.

  • @dalebshelton You're comparing what team in there 6th (iirc) year in F1 with a team who has loads of experienced. They might have the same name, but they are two very different teams. The arena has changed.

  • @dombou70 I don't care what circumstances you have, if you missed out on signing Ayrton Senna you missed out on signing argueably the best driver who ever lived....6th or 1st or 28th. If they had to do it over again. they would have signed him.

  • @dalebshelton No to mention the crappy car he gave him in 94, contributing with his sad end...

  • no matter how many schummacher wins, senna will always be the greatest f1 driver

  • Comment removed

  • 100% The Best Driver Ayrton Senna !!!

  • wow Williams don't take young unexperienced drivers lol! days have changed and year after year all we see are young rich just average drivers at Williams!

  • Between 1982 and 19987...Lotus won 1 race that Senna wasn't the driver...The Lotus only did well becuase It was Senna behind the wheel and they never won again without Him....Every Teamt that Schuemacher raced for...won before he got there and won after he got there....Mclaren didn't win a race again until 1997. That my friends are numbers that don't lie.

  • @dalebshelton well, if we are going to by numbers then that will no doubt go against you

  • @2010formula1 Want some numbers? Lotus never won a race after Senna left..Didn't win a race for 3 years before he got there.

Mclaren didn't win a race for 3 years after Senna left. Benetton was a winner before MS got there and won after he left.

  • @dalebshelton schumacher was great at building teams and taking them further. ferrari were going downhill before he joined and turned them around. Senna was great to watch but not the greatest of all time. I think Hamiltons great to watch but i accept he's not the greatest of all time.

  • @2010formula1 Why is Hamilton even in this discussion? He has not been around long enough to even be considered anything. First off, Ferrari won races in 1995 and 1994. They had 2 bad years in 92 and 93. Shcuemacher has a career total of 3 wins without Brawn. It was Brawn who built Ferrari not Schuemacher. Senna won using Honda..Ford..Renault. With all kinds of different people. You don't think Senna built Lotus back Up? Ferrari had no problem since he left. He didn't buid Ferrari.

  • @2010formula1 Some more numbers..Benetton won after Schuemacher left..Ferrari won plenty of races and are still winning after he left. My favorite number of all..Schuemacher..0 Wins in 2005 with a full field... Tires are not..qualifying times doesn't indicate that much of a drop off. Senna was qualifying 2 sec. Slower than the Williams in 1992 and manage to win races. Schuemacher only wins when all the chips are stacked on his side....When it isn't.....he doesn't win.

  • I wouldn't necessarily say he would have won 10 but...If He would have signed for Williams in 84..He would have been champion By 85...and chances are...Honda would not have left Wiliams and..And judging from the way the Williams performed with the Hart engine in 1988...If they still had a Senna/Honda package...I could see Senna winning at least 5 or so up till 1992...So many things could have happened...But I didn't think the Move to Lotus was the right one.

  • Imagine if Senna signed for McLaren in 1984, instant world champion!!

  • english subtiles pls

  • He would have won every World Championship with Williams, without cheats or running into people.

  • i remember that!

eu me lembro quando passou no sinal verde um sabado de tarde!

  • Jesus I wish I could do this for a living.

  • Epic! The very first time we got to see that famous read and white Marlboro McLaren livery with the yellow helmet. On his last run he apparently was going faster and faster but there was an engine problem developing. As soon as he got out he asked Ron how fast he'd gone to which Dennis replied 'I find it hard to be concerned about a stopwatch whilst looking at one of my car's billowing smoke out of the back of it'. Williams or McLaren should have signed him up there and then!!!

  • They offered him contracts. He refused them on the basis that he didn't want to learn Formula 1 in a top car and be labelled, nor did he want to be a number 2 in a top team. He joined Toleman with no 1 status, with the plan of joining a top team later on when he had found his feet. Already he was thinking.... stunning stuff.

  • @dombou70 Thank you for that, I wasn't aware of any of that. Excellent :-)

  • I bet when senna was born he shot out at 300 km/h and immediately made a 4g turn on his way to his fathers car.

  • when he was born god was like "YES" and all the racing drivers in the world were like "fuck, nooo!!"

  • @quasiphatpaul Hilarious!

  • A forma como Senna fala é incrível, ele não tinha qualquer dúvida da sua habilidade!

    Faz-me lembrar outras grandes personalidades!

  • Silentman2006, 1994 was only close because MS had his legitimate win taken away from him at Spa and also a two race ban lol. I think it would've been a travesty if Damon won it.

  • How's it a legitimate win at Spa when he was riding a car with an illegal setup?

Also, Schumacher and Benetton can only blame themselves for the two-race ban they got.

  • e a sua mae??

  • haha get a grip senna although some may argue didnt always do amazingly well in all races his qualifien was spectacular and some also dispute he was THE best

  • Ron Dennis sucks.

  • No problem at all =)

  • Did you see the word ALMOST? I know Schumacher won the title in 1994, but it was close.

  • che lingua è?

  • Frank Williams when he could still walk. O_o

  • 5:22 - 5:42 Goosebumps

  • indeed!!

  • Donington.

  • the first was donington, second and thirds was silverstone

  • The brazilian Ayrton Senna: the best F1 driver of all the times.

  • @aduka19 and it looks like schumacher is below rosberg

  • @roquepaulo You cant say that, Senna was a great champion.

But you cant compare champions across different eras and different machinery.

  • aposto q o Jackie arrpendeu de nao ter assinado ele , ele teve sua chance ne , desde do inicio

  • What circuit is it?

  • Domington Park

  • FANTASTIC VID

  • Oh, greek subs. Where'd you find this?

  • At 3:51 the young genius said these valid and prophetic words about the F1. More or less: " I am starting perceive that the F1 is more depended from the Car than the pilot... probably." It was a universal true until today. Senna have not option to start in one of the worst team in 1984.

  • raridade!! good video

  • its funny how his nephew (bruno senna) is having the same problems to get a race car in f1 team brawn or honda didn't sing him for the 2009 season because they said he doesn't have enough experience too bad i can' wait to see the name senna on f1 again

  • douver2007 it was the a huge error from Frank Williams. He was the same. He never hire young pilots. Only Ron Dennis, learn about a young pilot but experien. Senna show why we was a genius.

  • But it goes to show how cold and calculating his thinking really was, in reality he had options for several top teams, but chose Toleman because he knew there he would not be under tremendous pressure to perform and win from day one and would be able to learn the F1 ropes at his own pace. He knew somehow the top team would come. Takes balls to do that.

  • It's funny to know that he drove for all those teams later on, even there would be a decade until he drove a Williams.

  • 0:49 bwahaha :)

  • UM DEUS DO VOLANTE

  • If Sir Frank Williams only knew.....

  • говорете на български е да ва еба в смотаняците.

  • r.i.p!!!!!!! the best f1 driver ever!!!!!!!!

  • is that ron dennis at 4:20 ?

  • Yes!

  • A monumental talent from the very beginning of his racing career! He entered the F1 racing arena like a caged lion ready to crush the competition, and push ahead of everybody else. In that, he succeeded brilliantly! Not only did he crush the competition regularly but he climbed to the very top, where his legend remains. He's not likely to be forgotten any time soon. R.I.P. Senna.

  • muita emoção... é o q posso dizer...

    senna foi o melhor..

    abraço

  • Compared to Ron Dennis, Frank Williams looks pretty cavalier running Senna as though it was he who was doing Senna a favour letting him drive the Williams. F1 now realises, like Lewis Hamilton at MClaren, brave young talent is the future.

  • eclipse1501 - you miss the point. Frank had already signed his drivers for the next season. He WAS doing Ayrton a favour. Do you know, AS was a full second under Keke's best time ever in that test and originally they didn't tell the press?

  • No the only point I made was in those days there was still a mindset throughout the single seater paddock that resisted unleashing younger talent, unlike the motorsport equivalent of the Busby Babes we have coming through now in F1. Later Senna resisted Frank Williams overtures to lure him to WGPE (even during the Williams Honda package domination) instead serving RD who has a better understanding of young drivers.

  • Ayrton drove for McLaren between 88 and 93. Williams lost the Honda engines at the end of 87 so there was never an offer to drive for Frank (with Honda power) during his days with McLaren. In fact historically - regarding young talent, McLaren have never always been risk adverse until Lewis came along so respectfully, I think your theories are slightly skewed although I like the more cerebral approach you've responded with.

  • MClaren runs the younger world champions, me thinks eclipse1501 was right HUNT 1977 aged 29 LAUDA 1984 aged 34 PROST 1985 1986 aged 30 SENNA 1988 aged 28 HAKKINEN 1998 aged 30 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FRANK WILLIAMS JONES 1980 aged 34 ROSBERG 1982 aged 34 PIQUET 1987 aged 35 MANSELL 1992 aged 39 HILL 1993 aged 36
  • I think you have ever so slightly skewed the context. The whole point (I thought) was to question what team was prepared to take a chance on fresh talent. McLaren have traditionally been keen to hire drivers with some F1 races under their belt. Frank however, took on JPM, JV, NR etc. over the last few years. Hunt had previously won for Hesketh, Lauda was a double champ, Prost 9 GP's, Ayrton 6 and Mika was proven from his testing role and his days at Lotus before being given their chance(s)

  • Ayrton resisted a FW Honda ride in 86 and inherited the keys to a MP powered Honda instead in 88...the exact point you try to unpick? Iam not sure which paddock you have been circulating in but its not F1.

  • Actually, inherited is far from true. When it became apparent that AS was reluctant to re-sign for Lotus, they (Lotus) made the call to sign Piquet, thus ensuring continuation of Honda engines and effectively leaving Senna with no place to go other than McLaren, hence the reason he was underpaid v Prost in the first year and the reason for the famous chilli sauce bet in Mexico. In answer to your paddock comment, funny but sadly wide of the mark.

  • Chilli sauce bet? What was that all about?

  • Not until young Villenuve did Williams ever accept/run/produce a good winning YOUNGER talent and his ambition to run Senna was not realised soon enough for FW and commonly accepted by the man as his own biggest career disappointment. I did also check that with a friend of Frank BTW but the stats speak for themselves and FW's list of world champions prior to Villeneuve are all well over 30 unlike MClarens, thats simply factual not cerebral.

  • The original point wa who took a punt on younger drivers, not who has the average age of WC's.

  • I think the original point was raised and made quite simply by another person, eclipse1501, but you perhaps have a separate point which you are clearly struggling to make?

  • Or you are just a bit thick?

  • At 4:05 Senna explain his very little knowledge about F!, and said -more or less- " If you stay in one great team you earn one or two seconds, because the F1 depends more than a car than a driver..." It was totally true. And of course every body knows that it was a huge error from Sir Frank Williams does not hire Senna this year. Piquet -O'globo knows, put a veto to Ayrton in Williams. The same maneuver from Prost in 1993 to avoid Senna in Williams.

  • and the same from senna at lotus in 19886 when he refused derek warwick for team mate saying "lotus cannot manage two top pilots"

as a result lotus hired johnny dumfries.

he was not better in this respect than any other talented race driver...

  • winning the fom championship raising 1 billion for cancer research designing the fastest car honnoring my fathers memories formula1 for ever Intel is the key. Sincere regards Sir Bernie Bernard Ecclestone for the fom Long life Joseph claude francois simard sun of f1 photographer FERNAND SIMARD equipeclaudefrancois f1 formula1 pilot

  • This is the first time in my life that I have seen Ayrton Senna nervous.

  • Great post, tnx!!!

But we NEED English subtitles ASAP !!!

Or could someone translate the portugese parts and post it here as a comment ??

  • Could you tell me where you did you find this video???????

  • Ayrton Senna was the first driver who beat the record of Donington Park circuit in his first test in F1 with Williams-Ford [the 4th team in 1983] in only 21 one laps. It was a huge achievement. Just imagine if we was only in Williams this year. In this video Senna said: " The F1 the car is more important than the pilot.." It was true. Senna the best ever, before the greatest: Fangio. His hero.

  • his worst decision was transferring to williams. williams was and will be worst team forever.

fucked much of talentful person always.

and anyway senna is just legend and no one can come closer to his passion and driving talent.

  • He had the desire of driving for Williams since 1992, when Prost denied him for 1993.

Senna was absolutelly right. Williams almost won the championship in 1994 with Hill, won in 1996 with Hill and 1997 with Villeneuve. In 1998 Senna probably would retire. He was 100% right, like always.

  • I agree, Nico Rosberg fucked his carreer. That team has a curse

  • Come on! Nico is just a young drive!

  • His first & last time in a f1 car was in a Williams....... very sad, He is my Hero and always will be!

  • We talk about Senna here OK nt Schumi! All agree?

  • Senna was an example to all people on Earth.

  • @MintAs94 you have to be kidding !

Senna an example to all people on earth? as what? how to be an asshole.

  • Senna WAS the best!!!

  • Why you come here,to say that?

Ayrton Senna First Test F1 1983!

    Senna not shummi,ok!?

  • Now V8s and then V10s

  • Sir Frank Williams, Ayrton Senna ALWAYS wanted to drive for you...Mr. Ron Dennis, thank you for BELIEVING in him!!! Three World Championships with you..yes!! Don`t let Lewis slip away from you like KIMI and AYRTON THEE GREATEST!!!!

  • can you see what frank says??

he let the biggest ever go away of your fingers...

this is why at these days managers grab young guys..

    senna is the best

  • I was gonna say exacly the same! lol.

  • those v10 sound so much better than thev8s they use now

  • I thought the Cosworth DFV was a v8

  • Forget Schumi,R.i.P. Senna, the real hero is Stefan Bellof!!! The best Driver of all time!!!

    R.i.P. Stefan

  • the track is Donington Park ??!!

  • schumi is much better , show again in the testing today

first place . mofos , hes pure talent , put him in any car in any team , he will bring them to the nummer 1 spot , no doubt about that !

  • How can you say he is much better, here he is testing a car some 13 years after Senna's death, back in the day Senna kicked his ass, anybody ever hear of a race at Donnington which he won?!?

  • Thanks for the video!!!

  • People like you make the world laugh.Trying to shock,Trying to be different. Hey Satan when or how did that shump shumi win his championships? He won without any competition. He stole it from Hill by crashing into him in AUS. Hakkinen retired and Then he won. so understand who is the best of all time is and go f--- yourself.

  • Exactly.

  • @ayrtonbrazil How did the favela boy win? knocking his main rival off.

Being in the team of the greatest cheats in F1 history Mclaren and Honda.

He had a go at brundle because brundle scored points before he did.

Senna was far from the saint he is made out to be.

  • @FGalaxie Winners identify with Senna and apreciate and acknolege the winner he was... in the other hand Loosers criticize him cause they dont identify with him. You're probably a Looser my friend...

  • @Camnun Im not Brazilian, so i cant be a loser.

Also i can spell the world loser.

I identify with other champions who were just as good as senns, but arent revered just because they died.

Also brazilians seem to get unfair sympathy in all sports, and its not right.

  • @FGalaxie Ow really ? You can spell the "world" loser correctly ? Good for you ...

  • @FGalaxie Senna does not belong to brazilians but to the whole world.face the truth...every champion that you mention admits that Senna is the greatest driver ever lived long b4 he dies...so cut the crap cause you just make a fool of yourself....you know shit about F1

  • @xpandia The Honda Mclaren driver didnt belong to me, thank you very much.

    makes my skin crawl.

You think maybe its called public relations that drivers say that in the press.

    think about it.

  • @FGalaxie

....how the hell can you make public relations out of a discreet voting?217 f1 drivers of any era voted Senna as the best ever, noone knows who voted for him....how can you make public relations out of this?....as i said, you just make a fool of yourself

  • @xpandia How can they compare senna with champions from different eras and different machinery? its impossible, People get caught up in the emotion.

Plus Brazilians get extra sympathy points, which I can never understand, because well, it doesnt deserve it.

  • @FGalaxie

...Fangio said Senna is the best

...Schumacher says Senna is the best

...Stewart says Senna is the best

...Prost says Senna is the best

...Alonso says Senna is the best

...Hakkinen says Senna is the best

...Hammilton says Senna is the best

    .............25 championships combined

....you think you know better?....well... you don't.

  • @xpandia Shumacher sid he was an asshole.

Hunt said he was an asshole

Murray walker said he was an asshole.

Michele Alboretto said he was an asshole.

He drove for the most cheating sporting team in history dont forget.

  • Comment removed

  • @FGalaxie

you know something m8?...you are a lier or a retard..that's what you are

  • @xpandia No im just not blinded by Brazilian nike propaganda.

    a proud Euro.

    Fuck Honda too.

  • @xpandia you forgot stirling moss and niki lauda!

  • If you weren't such an ignorant fuck then you'd know full well that the 1994 Williams was a piece of shit (kinda like you) at the start of the year.

Also, retirement age my ass, he was signed to Williams for 3 years, and intended to do a few for Ferrari when he finished there.

One other thing, Schumy did have driver aids in 1994, rules always meant nothing to him.

  • He was wrong about brabham`s car: it was, indeed, a car able to win a course: only f1 idiots wanted to guarantee prost money and ended the gp in monaco. Senna knew he was great, but didn't imagined he was miraculous. Schummacher is a driver after Senna, so does Prost. When Senna wins a season with half a car, for me it's like a three season's victory in one. We miss you here in Brazil, fella!

  • See... Idiots can talk ;)

  • His car failed and he died...

Do you think Schumacher would have won all those championships if Senna was still around?

You know Schumacher didnt win 1 championship while Senna still competing?

Senna had more pole positions than Schumacher. Eventually Schumacher beat him because of all the time he stayed in F1.

Do you think Schumacher would have matched and passed in pole postions if Senna was still around?

    Quality>Quantity

    Watch this great documentary

    8NUBbrYKSHc

  • hey satanisnice... you're a fuckin' idiot!!!

  • yeah I've seen that bitch posting his crap in other videos too

he always critisizes all the great drivers and calls them bad or lucky or useless

he is a particulary useless troll I'd say or he's plain insane

  • satanisnice you're a freakin' moron for looking at numbers as the only variable

so by your way of seeing things Britney Spears and the Spice Girls must be one of the best artists ever considering how many millions of records they have sold

    fucking idiot

  • Homosexual Bernie Ecclestone @ 2:14
