rivron, Marexsecron (MESRON), IBU units, which are now all gon. this is a huge FAIL you cant mix RIVRON and MESRON in with SWCC. i have been in both communities and neither come close to SWCC. i had the Honor of being with a SWCC unit out of little creek was a coxswain in both rivron and Mesron , and was able to work on some of their equipment. seen these guys in action and well you get the point this Video is Garbage ENC

This whole video is a mish mash of different communities. I have been with the RIverines since early 2007, all 3 squadrons have been to Iraq numerous times. Also appears to be some MSRON pictures and of course SWCC. SWCC is the only community of the 3 that is NSW.

Nope alot are not SWCC you are mixing up regular Navy RivRon with NSW SWCC. Common mistake but RIvRon is not SWCC

@tfletch70 Yeah I agree, its alot harder to find pics of SWCC because they are a Special Operations Force that most people do not know about so there isnt a whole lot of pictures of them, and RivRon is not a Special Operations Force, so they are more open to the public in a way.

@bassguy156709 that is very ture, i have read an article on warboats.org about a couple SWCC guys getting shot up pretty bad. they got ambushed nearsome sand dunes and some sort of building. they then called in F-18s. no more towel men!

I hate to bust some of you guy bubble but riverines do missions with marines and special op with seals and marines force recon..they have one thing SWCC doesnt have and thats a ground team well let me re phase a ground combat element because some SWCC guys consider themselves a gound team just because they jump off and set security to pick up wounded ..and riverines get WAY more training maybe not in open water but in the riverine enviroment and land warfare riverines get more than SWCC

I would like to see battle damage photos and reports, as well as casualty reports, for any battles fought from within the boat(s). I am most interested in how well the boats stand up to 7.62x59 hits, at close range. Would lightweight, reactive "ceramic stick-on" tiles and/or DragonSkin inserts, for the gunwhales make any practical difference in the stats ??

Yes, the SWCC community has a riverine team. The conventional Navy also has a conventional riverine force, which is referred to as Rivron. A lot of the pics in this montage are Rivron.

If you are going to make snide comments to others, make sure YOU know your information.

@brodeursbaby SWCC and Riverines are 2 different groups. SWCC's are under the NSW and do alot more stuff, clandestine and special op. Riverines are under the NECC. They aren't considered a special op force but they do have similarities to SWCC. Riverines mostly patrol and drop off marines. SWCC's drop off and pick up other spec ops units, mainly Seals but they also do their own missions, on water and on land.
