Amazing! Likely, your M1's were those I fixed as a M1 Mech-a-neck in HHC 4/37-D Team Maint. back in '84-'87, when M1's first came to our unit (transition from M60s)...

This is pretty neat. Though you have your monoaural sound playing in a stereo format. Like if you put on headphones you only get sound out of the left side. If you want to improve the video it should be pretty easy to fix, either just alter the audio to be monoaural instead of stereo with a muted channel, or copy the left channel to the right.
