  • There's sort of a metallic scraping sound at about 1:07. I wonder what it is.

  • @Perprocrastinate It seems to be the vibration of the steel strings. Answered my own question.

  • Truly a wonderful etude...been working on it for months, still not up to speed..! My left hand gets pretty stiff just thinking about that song though.....

  • i´m afraid of asking how many notes does it has...

  • @andrmour I estimate it to be around 1600 notes.

  • @andrmour I counted about 370 notes JUST on the first page [I counted single chords as 1 note each].... and there's like 5 pages of it..... so I'm thinking around 2000 notes...

  • For me the best interpretation of Chopin etudes are from Pollini, i will try to make mine close to his'

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • gosh i only needed to be a minute into it to know how incredibly he plays this etude. WAY better than any other ive heard.

  • Fantastické provedení- bravo Pollini!!! Díky .

  • This is definitely the best version I've heard so far on Youtube. Amazing...

  • 2 minutes and 49 seconds ago, I thought I was pretty decent at the piano.

  • @TheEvilEmporerBunny Yeah :D , ME TOO ;) .

  • Oh dear God. Would anyone happen to know what kind of piano he's playing on?

  • @isayhi72 either steinway or boisendorfer most probably!

  • I'm a 24 year old hip hop producer... I have never heard any piece of music as stunning as this.

  • Who on earth disliked this? It's amazing stuff!

  • @arahavez08 someone who can't play this as good as Pollini :D (and jealous too)

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt A troll

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt nah! he missed like button

  • @arahavez08 Where did that dislike go?

  • Pollini is my favourite pianist at the etudes of Chopin. He owns the others.

  • AMAZING, ive been looking all over youtube for a SINGLE good performance and finally IVE FOUND IT!!!

ps. who gave the one thumbs down??? obviously not a stable person.

  • I'm still practicing this musical piece!! HE IS WONDERFUL!!!

  • Thanks for ALL your Work !!

  • There's something about Pollinis rendition of the etudes that I prefer above all other versions I've heard so far.

  • amazing. i am speechless

  • OMG PERFECT®

  • I'm playing this for a competiton. It's difficult because of the speed! Luckily the notes are reasonably easy and it is very easy to learn:) Pollini's version is definitely VERY fast!

  • @liuzhen2006 come on man. Practise and you will play it, this is not impossible, Scriabin etude 12, that is impossible, but this is quite real to play..

  • horowitz play better

  • this piece is all about energy and pollini is on top of that throughout. Richter even more so.

  • it sounds familiar....

  • quite hard etude, to play it right and fast without missing the notes. but still its not as hard as op25 no 12

  • @liuzhen2006 it's less hard than you think,it's just impressive ;-)

  • @AZFMINOR the etude in order to play it like pollini does or at least right is hard itself.... no.... it is very possible for @liuzhen2006 to play it if practiced but it is quite trublesome ;)

  • i was just speechless when i heard and saw the peace..

  • fantastic!! I'm speechless. Pollini is for sure the best Chopin's Etude performer.

I think this version was used in the movie about Chopin, called Desire for Love.

  • 還有譜~真是太好了!超喜歡這首的^^

  • Bravo! Pollini at his best!

  • thank you newFranzFerencLiszt for uploading Chopin's etudes.

Can you please upload John Field's nocturnes again?
