  • Mass is scaled down by is cube, so .25 x .25 x .25 x (the prototype horspower) = "your 1/4 scale horse power".

  • How strong is the engine at 2:10? 30hp?

  • @KenMacMillan We don't know. All we know is that it's 1/4 scale. SHOULD be 1/8 the power. We are exited to get it running and see what it will do. Should pull 11 cars.

  • @petro062 Has Mike fired it up yet? I talk with him in October and he said he might fire it up by Christmas. Love the scale of this engine.

  • Great job guys! That's a hobby that will keep you going for years. Do you have anywhere to run it once it is finished? You should teach some younger guys how to do this kind of work - it is becoming a lost art.

  • No It's worth twice as much as my house maybe 3 times. Yes it's a monster. The only northern made of this gauge. Most people make 0-4-0s There is 2 Hudsons running from Symore Johnson.
