Very well put together video showing appreciation of Mayall, I live in Louisiana and just seen him at Jazz Fest. He has true fans everywhere. That venue looks unreal set up on that mountain, I can't imagine what it looks like in person.
@dedepamir Just goes to show that you are possibly lacking in your knowledge of blues guitarists and perhaps, blues in general. It's not at all about any given guitarist being better or worse than any other guitarist and all about that individuals personal interpretation and approach to the blues on the guitar.. their "feeling" and 'soulfulness' in their own personal conveyance of their inner self and how they are feeling at the very moment they are playing a solo. Buddy is not better than EC.
Mayall & his latest Bluesbreakers topped Sunday lineup of the 2-day Blues By the Bay in Eureka, CA, Aug 30-31 '08, and put on a great show. 1st time I'd seen Mayall in about 3 decades. Buddy Whittington is a worthy successor to Clapton, Green, Taylor, Montoya, et al.
Yes...the Guitar is a Lentz I believe. Sounds good doesn't it? Dr Z amp too. I saw the Bluesbreakers when they came through Atlanta 7-8 years ago and had only heard Whittington on disc. He was just overwhelming live! At that time he was playing only the Strat and on a few tunes, a Tele.
Every great guitar player has 'their' time. Buddy in in 'his time' and there is no one better.

No one is better than Clapton at his best in this genre, but I get what you mean.
Rory Gallagher, though, is The King!

According to Mayall, Buddy is the better player.

hey, icemanhungary! Great video and well presented. Fantastic song and better solo guitar...don´t forget that singing feelin´.
I saw recently Mayall and Buddy here in Spain but I liked so much your version that I listened here.
Only tell you thah I think this fantastic song is from Leon Rusell (great songwriter who worked with Freddie King)
Greetings
