  • Interesting video but I doubt the government will try it.

  • We should use the sham wow! :D

  • the salon i work at sends all its cut hair to the oil spill.

  • I don't doubt that a pound of hair does soak up that much. But I'm looking at the end result now we know that 10 times the amount previously said is pouring out and it's still not plugged up. How much in the end is still gonna be way to much for all the human hair on this earth like I said. Also why do u guys want money for. I'm sus on people profiting off diaster.

  • @thylicine We do not ask for any money anywhere nor are we providing services for this. We used our own time & money to simply create this awareness video. We would like nothing in return. Thanks.

  • This is a great experiment and does really work. Everyone should shave their heads and send the Hair to React 365....:)

  • @ScottyManuel You are correct about the experiments results Scott, but everyone please remember...React does not accept hair donations directly! :)

  • Time to trade the car for a horse. All the hair on this earth is not enough.we are going back in time back to the stone age.

  • @thylicine Actually less than 1 pound of hair will soak up over 1 gallon of oil and if you do the math we have more than enough willing people in the US to donate. It costs nothing and is environmentally friendly to the alternative.

  • Get prepared people we are going back into the stone age.

  • There's no doubt that human hair is the most cost effective way of cleaning up oil spills.

Of course there is supposed to be a barge with oil spill collection equipment around every rig, and the fact that that the Exxon Val and all other spills have been completely non compliant to the law that requires such safety measures and that Stock holders are too afraid to stand up to the CEO's is horrible.

Let us know where to donate hair for mats and booms if you can.

    Thank you.

  • @laurasIs2c You're right there needs to be more precautions. I don't want to endorse a particular charity because we are not profiting from this & don't want to make it seem like we are pushing anyone in particular, but definitely the one that comes up in almost every web search & article is called Matter of Trust & they are not-for-profit. Search "Matter of Trust" & their website should come up. I'm not sure the post lets me put web links on here because it gave me an error when I tried.

  • @laurasIs2c Let's see posting weblinks works. matteroftrust org & their page for a list of ways to contribute for their non-profit efforts - matteroftrust org/contribute html

I took the "dots" out to help the websites get posted.

IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER CHARITIES THAT WOULD LIKE FOR US TO ADVISE OUR VIEWERS OF PLEASE WRITE A COMMENT OR EMAIL US SO WE CAN RECOMMEND YOU.

  • You know I bet Hemp would work best. Hemp strains of fiber. Ropes ships used to have hemp ropes. Hemp would as well could use the seeds to make Bio Fuel & end our dependence on BP & Exxon.....

  • @therealjamesbud Now you're talking! Test it out or let's see is someone can test it out. You'd have to make the strains very fine like if you had a rope you you kinds shaved it with a knife to make it's volume increase.

  • This is so stupid.

Raw crude oil is not the same as motor oil.

The bucket is not a good representation of the ocean in regards to distribution and recovery of the hair.

The amount of hair that would be needed (if this was possible) would be insane.

It's sad to see so many people suggesting such ridiculous ideas in the hopes of getting rich off of this tragedy.

  • @jiberish001 We just showed why we don't feel the same.

We did not have any crude laying around.

For obvious reasons we used a bucket.

You should do some research like we did - you will find less than 1 lb. of hair will soak up over 1 gallon of oil.

We used our own time & money to make this awareness video not make money. It must be working because you watched it!

But, you are entitled to your opinion & we respect that.

The Government utube sites are controlling and editing the the American peoples comments

Wake up fools a failed government at work in front of your eyes O-ne B-ig A-ss -M-isstake A-merica

  • Very Interesting, well if you can get all the salons around the country to donate hair this could definitely work.

  • Cool!!

  • You are just too damn smart. :)

  • Excellent idea! If president Obama could convince all US residents to shave their heads, their cats and dogs and donate the hair, maybe it could work. However, it would be cheaper to blast a aneutronic fusion bomb in the oil-deposit to pyrolyse the whole oil into methane - that would burn up in the atmosphere to water and CO2.

    o_o

  • @debrainwasher Great idea! Then React 365 Inc. could re-capture the CO2 and use it for our dry ice blasting services! Check out our dry ice blasting video. We actually use recovered/recycled CO2 to blast with that is a byproduct of the oil drilling & petrochemical industries.

  • @debrainwasher LMAO @ if obama could convice all us to save their heads dogs and cats... nice....
