How much does an artist's tablet for the computer generally cost? What's the cheapest one?

a regular one is about 100. the cheapest being about 60. but the best ones are from 1k-2k, and your art is in lcd display ON the tablet.

I draw the panel borders with a ruler and the green pencil, and go over it (carefully) freehand with the ink. That way the lines are mostly straight, but not perfectly so (which I think looks weird).

Almost always by hand, and I'm proud of that. Lots of cartoonists don't do that anymore. I think the art of hand-lettering is fascinating, and it's sad that it's not as widely appreciated anymore. The computer stole its thunder.

Yep, an ultrasonic cleaner. I got it on eBay for $150 or so. I bought it to clean clock parts, actually, but it works fine for the pens too. The yellow goo is a concentrated ammonia-based cleaner made for clocks. You can buy it from Timesavers (timesavers dot com).
