  • @ethanpate 2 people have never been to the land of the new rising sun and have never wanted to come along in the first place and did not want want to step into the space woman's world a while. in other words they did not accept the request of the "space woman" in the song.

  • I Can't Seem To Find The Album In Which This Song Appears. Can Anyone Tell Where This Song Comes Out?

  • @TheEpicImpaler its on First rays of the new rising sun

  • @TheEpicImpaler It was on the original Rainbow Bridge vinyl - 1971 I think. It is also on the double CD - Voodoo Child: The Jimi Hendrix Collection, released by Experience Hendrix in 2001.

  • @TheEpicImpaler first rays of the new risng sun

  • @LedZeppelin420x Thanks. Missed that one even though I have it.

  • Jimi had a good deal of astrophysical knowledge. He knew that Jupiter is sun-like. Perhaps if you put Saturn and Jupiter together it would be enough to form a star or at least a brown dwarf (degenerate star or star-like planet) and then perhaps our solar sys. would be a binary sys.

what's amazing is is that 8 planets were able to stabilize around a single sun at all. presumably the dynamics of our solar sys. were much more chaotic in the past but they've since settled down quite a bit.

  • hahaha guys since i posted that comment - they seems to be two trolls that have discovered greatness and had to do their best and mess up things but coolsk83rjay is right...

  • This is what heaven sounds like.

  • I'm not sure if Hendrix was under rated. He live a hell of a life, all in 26 years.

But, his persona of being this big radical, got the best of his more creative tunes like this one.

    Play on ....

  • greatest thing about this vid is the number of "dislikes"

  • @theREALpromised1

The greatest thing about the vid is the music.

  • GENIAL,,UN HENDRIX IN CRESENDO,,APABULLANTE,,

  • this is excellence, courage, sincerity and love, Hendrix is a visionary of the stars and deep space.

  • that tempo change starting at 1:05 is one of the greatest things ever

  • Comment removed

  • Jimi, Noel, and Mitch blended like a rock me the fuck into nirvana

  • This song litteraly saved my life.

  • @MrJohnthegreat22 It gave me the strength to start again, to stand and let the past go, enjoy every day of my life without having regrets. I don't really count how many times I litteraly cried listening to this song !

  • 1 persons not comin from the land of the new rising sun

  • The book Jimi Hendrix: Starchild, by Curtis Knight can be purchased directly from the Conspiracy Journal Bookshop

  • The drumming is so out of time at the start. But man what a beautiful acid rock song. One of his best solo by far!!!!!

  • nobody, and i mean nobody can play guitar like this guy,raw magic with lots of feeling/soul etc, genius,.

  • Rainbow Bridge

  • damn, I've been listning to Jimi for some time now, but I've never heard this song before. now I've heard this song for the first time, I'm almost in tears and shocked of how beautiful this song is.

  • yeh jimi

  • i don't like this cus it has a jamacin feel to it, but man the 1st minute was sick!

  • @bakerbakerbaker305 jamaican feel? what are you smoking???

  • @omgiTsmeJon idk what are you smoking?

  • @bakerbakerbaker305 that's the gayest description of music i've ever heard. a "jamaican feel". what the hell does that mean?

  • @bakerbakerbaker305 u got it all backwardzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 1 LOVE

  • Gas! これに続く何か英語の言葉があったような気がしたが、間違ってるか、忘れた。

  • The live performance of this song from Hawaii is indescribable. Hendrix took music to a level never seen since.

  • my all time favourite

  • JImi only had 3 yrs and as good as SRV was he was more a power blues guy. Few players play with the passion of SRV but he was not Hendrix, nor is Robin Trower even at the height of his best.

Jimi created in 3 short yrs timeless genius. There are no comparisions. Jimi changed the sound and tones of the electric guitar, it was never the same after him, just copy. Another example of someone with a 1 of kind talent and personality laid to dirt by stupid overindulgence of relatively common drugs.

  • polska ^^

  • stick that "thumbs down" up your ass

  • 0 dislikes? hell yeah

  • the best jimmi tune going

  • from an artistic standpoint, pali gap has to be my favorite song of his, even tho he doesnt even sing a word. his guitar does all of the singing

  • Jimi didn't "play" music....Jimi WAS music

  • This one, Pali Gap,villa nova junction and who knows are the highlights os Jimi. Do you agree ?

  • @berrycccc agreed, but don't forget his earlier material from electric ladyland and axis - it's groundbreaking too.

  • where is time machine?

  • this has got to be one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

  • I just literally cried, Ive always listened to Jimi and hearing this song for the first time it's sooo beautiful

  • @Noseheros, Hendrix inspired SRV. Gave him his style. Remember that!

  • @jeffuSG Im quite aware, Ive read hendrix's bio and am a huge SRV fan, I think SRV could play faster and had his own unique technique, but hendrix was more creative, both amazingly soulful, they're on the same level but I prefer Hendrix...neither is really better though unless you get specific

  • Is it me or is this masterpiece intoxicating? love Jimi.

  • rainbown bridge one of the best albumm from jimi !!

  • 2.18 - 2.27. Only Jimi could play like this. Devine

  • Dam, I wish I could of hung out with this guy for a few days. Thanks, though, Jimmi.

  • Dam, I wish I could of hung out with this guy for a few days.

  • Yes Jimi, the microphones on. We're listening. We miss you bro.

  • Maybe one the most underrated, forgotten and moving hendrix songs.

  • @frostwar87

I agree. I still get goosebumps listening to it today. God Bless Hendrix.

  • @frostwar87 amen to that one, a great example of why players came to love the Univibe effect which Hendrix made famous.

  • @frostwar87 no way! I love It and that's what counts, and I know I am not the only one ^)

  • @frostwar87 well put....i got goosebumps first time i heard it still do sometimes

  • @frostwar87 well put....i got goosebumps first time i heard it still do sometimes

  • @jessicadupreez me too... lol had some moments ago

  • @jessicadupreez and again now

  • I love it how nobody has disliked this. 8)

  • @stalkata oooh....tempting....

  • @stalkata

5 months later and still no dislikes, I was tempted, but jimi is too awesome haha

  • i have checked out loads of guitarists since jimi died, some better than others ,nearly all lacking that spark that the master had ,and of course the feeling/soul he put into his music. jimi was the guitar,.

  • @585858000 I know right! just the best...I mean I love SRV and I think, technically like speed and power, SRV was better than Hendrix, and he had that emotion and connected to the guitar like jimi. But jimi had more imagination and created a new genre...although I respect Stevie for reviving the that 60's kinda blues in the 80's I respect Jimi more for creating it in the first place

  • @Noseheros SRV played guitar longer than Hendrix lived. Think about that.

  • @TumisHumis and still couldnt match him! listen to monterey pop killing floor and you will not doubt jimi's technical ability regardless of his "slopiness" from time to time

  • @PilotDoofy even his "slopiness" was beautiful,.

  • @TumisHumis Whats that suppose to mean? I dont care how long he played, I care about what he did while playing, and he was one of the best. But I still believe Hendrix was more creative

  • Absolutely my favourite song by the late great Mr. Hendrix -thank you for the great sound, too:)

  • im going to move to neptune and have jimi teach me the ways of neptunatiar

  • You noticed that in the later years he started to mellow and go back to his funk and blues roots in order to reach more of his people ie brothers and sister which was the birth of the BAND OF GYPSYS

  • Comment removed

  • i wore the album out from 72-74 lol
