one of the best Joy Division track in my humble opinion. Captures a lot of things, Has a working class kid who grew up in Macclesfield , we wore swastikas and ss enamel badges to show contempt. We rebelled by praising the horror.

What is the song about, exactly? It doesn't exactly carry that same message that Candidate did (that song was about Ian being pressured into being a musician ). My guess is that it has something to do with young men disappearing in a land that needs them the most. Then they come back but are no longer welcome.

The song itself is wonderful. Some of the best keyboard work I've ever heard.
